I kid you not,the stats say City would be 92nd in the world for defence spending now.

That is the sorry state of modern football.

They spend more on the acquisition of personnel (is that including wages and bonuses) than a country spends on defending their nations inhabitants...

This world is fucked. How can FFP be working?

I love Monday night football.....Watford 4 - 1 Chelsea.....ha ha ha. Poch and Jesus are watching. Conte picked a weird team, he's out of there at the end of the season if not before.

I don't understand how February has been so fucking brilliant for us and it's only the 5th for fuck sake...!!!

By the 28th I reckon we'll be clear at the top by 10 points.

Cahills career must be over

When Cahill and Luiz were named as the defensive pairing the Watford room must have collectively laughed their arses off. Luiz is a moron and Cahill is a statue. And Bakayoko is the biggest joke in the league.

Conte is gone...he may even be cleaning out his desk at the moment.

Can we play this shower of shit directly after the scum please. Conte will be ditched just like the rest of them. There's just so many clubs, and I use the term loosely, at the moment that I'm laughing my bollix off at.

From BBC Sport website - makes me a little bit cross

Alexis Sanchez: Manchester United forward accepts deal for tax fraud

Alexis Sanchez earns a reported £14m a year after taxes
Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez has accepted a 16-month suspended jail sentence for tax fraud in return for avoiding a trial.

The ex-Barcelona player faced going to trial in Spain over unpaid taxes amounting to around 1m euro (£886,000).

The unpaid taxes derive from image rights deals in 2012 and 2013.

When Sanchez, 29, was first accused in 2016, his agent said the Chile forward had "fully obeyed" laws and his image rights income "has been declared".

Sanchez, who joined United from Arsenal last month, is rumoured to be the highest paid player in the Premier League following the transfer, earning £14m a year after tax.

He is one of a number of high-profile players to have fallen foul of the tax laws in Spain.

Last month, Real Madrid's Croatia midfielder Luka Modric paid Spanish fiscal authorities close to 1m euro to settle his own image rights tax case.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo have also faced tax charges in recent years.

I've just been reading the paper and looking at the remaining fixtures for the top 5.....I'm not considering the Scum any more. I've only taken a quick glance but seems our remaining games our favourable compared with the others. We only have Chelsea away (where we can win) and City at home (where we might not) United definitely have a lot more trouble than that, as do Chelsea.

With a fully fit squad we might enjoy the last third of the season muchly. There is no dishonour in coming second or third to teams that have spent almost a billion pounds on players....in fact it is huge credit and has 'an echo of glory'

I had to laugh yesterday, quite loudly. The Scum spent £52m on Lacazette last Summer, he started on the bench yesterday, eclipsed by Owbangayang who cost £60m I think and was invisible throughout. Then he came on had two great chances and missed both of them.

Meanwhile the new power in North London has just spent £25m on potentially a fantastic talent in Lucas Moura. I'm really looking forward to the remainder of this season.

City at home could be triffic mate. We could be the 2nd side to beat them this season and although it won't make a difference, they are going to win the title, we are definitely on for 2nd. I am not going to make any plans for getting to this match, because plans are arseholes and they always go wrong, so I definitely won't be going to this one if the gods of plan-fuckin-up are listening.

I was thinking similar after the NLD. What is your run in like compared to our "rivals".

We have the moose, moura, Lamella, winks, Toby all coming back to fitness for the run in.

Never predict anything but it comforts me.

As for Bang-ya-nan he was fucking shite and I have to mention his hairline... what they actual fuck he looks like one of those 90's troll toys.

Bangabang? We've played him three times this season - won all three. £58m? Nice bit of business there goons, add in the United flop Mick Tearian and you have done better than we could ever have hoped for, wankers. I suppose it will all be good because Wheelchair is back and he will save you.... unless of course he gets injured for the hundredth time, gets a long ban for being a thug or gets nicked again.

MIND THE GAP!

Come on the Toon! What a win for Newcastle and 3 more points dropped for United, luvverly fucking jubberly. Johnjo Shelvey, that wasn't him surely? I hope he doesn't get drug tested. Very exciting end to that game.

We are hunting them down! Could the baggies duff over the chavs tomorrow? Probably not, but in Fantastic February anything can happen.

Yes exactly....the last two 'Monday night footballs' have featured Tommy Carroll and Kyle Naughton beating Liverpool and Arsenal respectively, I'm hoping tomorrow's instalment is Chelsea losing at home to West Brom. After all, Conte has fallen out with everyone at the club, so it's very possible and would be very funny.

Ps C'mon Saints....please upset Klippity....that's very funny too....

While we wait for Saints to beat Liverpool let's play The Scum's funny player names. @Yid is winning so far (only in my opinion) with Oh-bang-ya-nan..! Quite Brilliant.

Can we do better than 'wheelchair' for the nasty little runt aka Wilshire and what about Mickytarican and Kozshellknee. How about Lazycat and Bellyin?

OK so Saints might not be up to it, we'll see.

In the meantime after 27 games last season Spurs had 56 points (joint second with City) ten points behind Chelsea. We had a goal difference of 33.....so a bit behind where we are this season, but the games of course don't follow the same pattern and others City and United have strengthen enormously. I think we're doing rather well, considering we've had to adapt to a new sized pitch, and completely different temporary 'home'.....not an excuse just an explanation for a few 'iffy' results earlier this season.

im hoping we finish second, third is more likely?
