I had to laugh when I saw that £1 thing. Surely u just activate the cards that win this lottery thing. Then they scan on the way through and voilà the ticketing machine is tested exactly the same as any match day. Jokers.
On another note I'm just glad this saga looks like it's coming to a close. The stadium looks incredible and it might well give the team that boost for the run in!!

When we eventually move into the new stadium, does anyone know how the ticketing will work for the first match? It's obviously going to be in massive demand (compared to Wembley where I've just booked tickets behind the goal on boxing day in an all but empty section).

I would imagine that almost every single one of 42,000 season ticket holders will attend, plus every corporate and 'Premium' seat, plus every Thomas Cook and overseas supporter club ticket, plus all the sponsors and partners. I don't know the maths but I reckon there will be in the region of 5,000 tickets left over? if you go into your account on the official website and go on 'ticketing points' there's a breakdown of the number of STH's and One Hotspur members loyalty points. Seems that would be the only 'fair' method of allocating the remaining tickets? A Hunger Games tournament would be an interesting alternative.

By my rough calcs there must be getting on for 80,000 people either with a season ticket or more points than me. That means if 47k of them are STH's, even if the rest were to go to members (ignoring hospitality and partners) that would leave say 15k seats to go between members, of which there are 33k ahead of me on points. Don't fancy my chances.
So I'm hoping for a simple members on sale date. Despite all our moaning about the old wheel of doom system, only once did I ever miss out on tickets completely.
I still haven't got over them changing the loyalty points system by the way. My 25 odd years of going to as many games as I can each year doesn't count for as much as someone who goes to every game for 1 year.

Its something like this
42,000 STHs
8,000 premium seats
3,000 away fans
leaving around 9,000 which then has thomas cook travel tickets,comp tickets,players,friends/hanger ons freebies So I would say 7-8,000 to members maybe slightly less?I think it was around 6,000 at WHL,dont forget cup games the % of away fans increases and lower members tickets available although STHs dont have a cup scheme and purchase packages/tickets on top of ST price,so i guess it balances out or even more availability?.
Loyalty points is an imperfect system however they do it if you lose out,roll over 4 years pts like now,or points from infinitum,someone always loses out by design.For me its the away ticket points which crush the system for STHs,offering 3 pts for a cat C or minnows cup match of a few thousand,the rich get richer especially at 10 or 20 quid a ticket,I mean just buy and move em on,they are that indemand,300 pts is the norm now,so people protect their position in the queue.
There is always the chance the club will do a lucky dip ballot,or general sale or points based allocation.Its a one off,many thousands will be unhappy whatever happens.

Successful Season Ticket Holders have already had the payment card submitted on their application charged the £1 nominal fee, which has been donated to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
During the event, fans will be able to familiarise themselves with the journey they will take on a home matchday, with access to both entry level podiums – Park Lane Square to the south and Paxton Terrace at the north.
Here, fans will be helping us test the matchday security procedure and entry through our South Stand turnstiles, with the iconic single-tier stand open for you to explore. All fans attending on the day will enter the stadium via the South Stand turnstiles, regardless of which stand your Season Ticket seat is in.
The South Stand is the home of The Market Place, our street food-style emporium offering a wide range of delicious food and drink options.
In this area you will be able to find the Goal Line Bar – running the entire length of the goal line and at 65m is Europe’s longest bar. You will also be able to gain access to the atmospheric Beavertown Tottenham Taproom, home to our very own Microbrewery – a first for any stadium.
Food options in The Market Place include:

• Chicken House
• Naan & Noodle
• Smashed Olive
Food and drink on the day will be sold at matchday prices, details of which will follow. Just had an email - I will be there, with fully charged mobile phone for pics and vids. @skiathospurs your technical knowledge will be required to upload pics and vids no doubt on 17th December!! I will be spending zero pounds on craft beer, naan, cheese, and olives, whether they are smashed or not, but will pop in to the Brickies for a pint beforehand. Actually really pleased that I will be part of the clubs history, despite of my current feelings toward Mr Levy.

Seeing a thing on the Times today saying that Spurs are struggling to get permits for the 30th and 6th Jan for test events.... due to police etc, being off, but these should be lower caps, so maybe it still can be done.

As promised we wanted to update you, our supporters, on the status of the new stadium.
The past few months have been spent rectifying issues with the critical safety systems. We are pleased to report that progress has been steady and we are now into the integrated testing and commissioning phases that take place ahead of the application for a stadium safety certificate.
Testing is being conducted both during the day and night and our contractors will continue to work during the Christmas period. Barring no further significant issues we should then be in a position to schedule Test Events.
This does mean therefore that we need to confirm that our Premier League home game against Manchester United will take place at Wembley.
We shall receive a status report from our contractors in the week commencing 7 January 2019 and will update you thereafter.
Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: “We are acutely conscious that we are asking fans to go to Wembley for far longer than any of us wanted to. However we are now seeing the progress that we needed to see.
“What I don’t want to do is set any firm dates until we have finally achieved a safety certificate. So many people tell me to look at other major schemes that run late and, whilst I know it happens often, we are still hugely frustrated.
“It is important, however, to recognise the sheer complexity of the scheme. It will be one of the first fully-integrated digital stadiums and will also be required to meet the latest and most stringent safety regulations.
“Once again I want to apologise to fans and to thank you for your ongoing support. We have a busy time ahead both on and off the pitch, particularly after last night’s amazing qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League. What a memorable night. I should also like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families well over the festive break.”

That translates timewise as announcement w/c 7th jan.
Best case dates for test events, 2 events give em a weeks lead time,and a week between both thats 28th jan those are done,does that mean we can then apply for safety cert after completing those? or in the meantime?If it is after then really we arent going to be in until well in to march,if the club sticks to its previous schedule a month after an announcement then 1st game,which makes it possibly end of feb.?
So would met police allow us 1st game in a high security match?(NLD)?
1st time in an age i put someone on ignore,and that was on SSC,a mr greaves (remember him) type pedant arguing the club only needed 10 days to choose if the man u game was played wherever on the basis cup replays can be organised in such.I would just have called him a cunt on here,oh i can!!thfc dan you are a cunt.
Everything I base these timelines on is from the club statements,thst,not some bloke down the pub,or my stepmums boyfriend who is working on the build.I believe the PL requires us to give a months notice of venue,sure i saw that when we had to announce the wembley contingency deal back in? november??thats why we had to announce Saints,and burnley by that date. If that is the case then unless its a CL game or cup,first league game wouldnt be until mid feb.
All this is earliest,everything running smooth as shit from a goose.

Could be a CL match which would be good. I couldn't stomach first game against Arsenal, just in case they won, go down in history and all that. Might work out well for your visit?

Not sure, Spurs provisions for dual usage of stadia is actually an exception to the rules, and won't be any of the now slightly ageing rule books I have. I assume that's just terms of the agreement though, and frankly it's fair enough
I'm flipping livid. We're defo in for Newcastle or Leicester imo. It won't be Watford, can't see us opening on a midweek. But it matters not, cos I can't make any of those matches anyway.
I'm getting to the stage where I don't want to fucking see this cunting stadium. Put me in such a bad mood I don't even really want to go Sunday any more.

what isnt clear is if we can use 2 venues during the knock out stage?could be we have to stick with the 1st venue for duration?,and we are at home the first game in the round of 16,that is already decided by coming 2nd in group.
