A visit to the Villa

After entertaining our visitors from the Palace on Coronation Day
I thought the proud Cockrels would ruffle the Eagles' feathers. Now can we rob the Villains on their own manor.
I say yes ATM, but let's see what trusty highwaymen Officer Ryan recruits for the task

I guess this is a Europa Conference League playoff of sorts. Can’t be bothered to look at the permutations, but anything else seems out of reach. They’ve been one of the best teams in the league since Count Dracula took over, a win in this one would be a real feather in Mason’s cap.

Looks like Lenglet is fit and Bissouma will play some part from the bench
Squad looking so much stronger than last month.

If we win, we'll be 6 points ahead of Villa in 6th with 2 games to play and have +4 goals on them so it would still be possible for them to go above us on goal difference but I expect even we'd be able to find a way to blunder past Leeds on the final day, so I think a win today would secure European football in some form next season.

Brighton have five games to play and three of those are against Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester City so you'd certainly expect them to drop some points as well.

I think as long as we don't completely fuck it up, the Europa League is a very realistic possibility next season.

Haha, thanks for actually looking at the table, unlike me.

I'm not going to bother with the last two games. Can't be arsed now.

And I'll probably have a punt on Leeds as well on the final day as there's no chance this group of players survives Elland Road, especially if Leeds need a win to stay up.

Here's another thing as well .. when Emery took over at Villa, they were 17th and we were 3rd .

We couldn't beat a rug at the moment. Brighton are now past us and Villa will be next. But no whinges or moans about it. That's where we are because that's where we are...thanks to years of appalling decisions, bad appointments, priorities not being what they should be.....or to sum it up in a single word, Levy.

Can understand your reasoning, but I still think we'll beat Brentford

ENIC's financial asset, whose performance & principal domain is on the pitch, has been Levy'd.

When the Dippers inevitably beat Leicester tomorrow then that means we can finish no higher than 6th.

Villa still have to play the Dippers and Brighton so there’s a small chance we could still sneak in to the Europa League, even though I still expect us to lose to Leeds on the final day.

Well Brighton play Newcastle in one of their games in hand on Thursday. A win there and a win against already-relegated Southampton on Sunday and 6th position would no longer be achievable, even if we were to beat Brentford.

Brighton's other game in hand against City wouldn't matter as they'll have secured 6th anyway, so it would come down to the final day with Villa needing to beat Brighton and hoping we lose to Leeds, who would likely need a win to stay up.

So 8th is still very much possible.
