I think Milan lost again last weekend so their form hasn't gotten any better but ours has gotten worse.

They showed how easy it is to play against us in the first leg so I suspect not much will change. Sonny will still start, as will Kulusevski despite his own run of poor form sliding under the radar.

This is a match that screams out for Richarlison. There won't be any room for Sonny to run, except back towards our goal to receive square passes from the wingbacks. We need Richie, Harry and Deki banging into them around the perimeter of the box. Theirs, not ours, mind. A bit of magic from any of those three and it's all to play for. Ten-yard passes bouncing off Sonny into the space between their runners and our CB pylons, and we'll need a miracle like we got in Amsterdam.

I think Dier's absence - which I had totally forgotteb about - might be a blessing in disguise. Lenglet wouldn't be my forst choice in the middle, but he may deal with Olivier fucking Giroud.

There's no consistent intensity is there ? It's just a bit here and a bit there. Huffing and puffing but nothing to see...all a bit meh.

It baffles me why he’s rarely dropped. We’ve carried him again this half and effectively been a player down because he’s been anonymous. Again.

We’ve shown flashes in that half but it feels like one of those games where we could play until midnight and still not score.

As bad as Son is, he is the only one putting them under threat. We look really slow out there, especially Peresic and Royal. It won't happen, but I'd switch to a back, 4 put Kane at 10, and Richie up top. Formation isn't working.

Our only avenue is on the right and frankly, Emerson is carrying Kulusevski at the moment. We have no creativity in central areas given Kane has been shut out of this match the way he was in the last and our left side is laughable. Perisic is actually a waste of time and Sonny is cooked.

I’d drop Kane into an AM role, hook Son and put Richarlison up front.

We cannot go on like this.

We might be watching different games mate. Son has been woeful. Royal has been our best player, to my eyes anyway.
