Word seems to be that he's not coming as a pure backup but as someone to actually challenge for the number one spot. Also UEFA rules apparently state that if we make the knockout stages of the Europa League then he can apparently play despite already turning out for Slavia Prague.

Hope this doesn't stop the young lad getting game time... I suspect it will

I would like to think that Forster will immediately revert to a backup role and this kid comes straight in to play but I suppose we'll see.

He'll have signed knowing full well that Vicario is number one so he must have some kind of belief that he can take his spot at some point.

Hopefully an actual number 2 to push Vicario

Looks a good shotstopper, and quite good in the air on his YouTube highlights. I guess we can assume he's good with his feet, or there's no way we'd have signed him. Or is that a bit naive on my part?😂

Should be a fun watch

Great with his feet.
100% ball distribution accuracy.
No goals conceded.

His passing range would be impressive for a midfielder, let alone a goalie.
It’s funny you say that, I was thinking during the game that both him and Gray kept hitting that little clipped ball over the head of the first pressing player. As you say, very midfield-like. Bottom line is that he’s going to make some catastrophic mistakes from time to time through high-risk play, but even Vic struggles to start us on the counter with his distribution. This guy played it through one of the best pressing teams in the world with ease in his debut. Whatever happens moving forward, it was quite a performance.

I had never heard of this kid before we signed him.
Then did a little YouTube & Wiki tour & realized he had something about him.

Heading into the game, everyone was curious.
I bet LFC was salivating at the chance to rattle him early.
But seeing that flick live, it became so evident that this kid had knackers the size of bowling balls.
That was an audacious move under the circumstances, & it looked so routine for him.

He really impressed me. So calm and very verbal, not what you would expect from a 21 year old on his debut. Vicario may struggle to get back in the side.

Simply based on his ball playing skills I could see Vic leaving... I like Vic, proper mad cunt shit stopper goalie, but he is shit with the ball at his feet and it all starts from there in Anges system.

Shame for the kid to get benched after making his debut... He needs games, he should go find hem also and he is too good for a career of splinters.

I agree. Also hope for his sake, our other goalie debutant this week Austin gets a new club and gets regular game time.

He probably does this shit all the time. I never would have thought of it in a million years, but he must have said to himself "I'm tall, he's short, why not flick it up a grab it from where he can't get to it?"

Seems simple in retrospect , but yeah I didn't enjoy it in the moment.

I remember being posted as a kid playing for the ressies after our goalie chinned someone... And our centre half bollocking me for selling the striker a Cruyf turn while in goal...

I was like... Huh, it worked and I then picked up the ball...

Needless to say this gruff cunt didn't drop it and I refrained from doing it again...

Interesting that Liverpool stopped pressing as hard after they realized how good Kinsky was with the ball at his feet.
It essentially opened up the game for us as we had more options.
Loved the way he chipped or even pinged those balls around the pitch so accurately.
