Would another 3 goal drubbing be the end of Nuno? This is a must win game, Villa are not Mura and they will not be easy to beat. If we play like we did last Sunday and for most of our PL games this season THFC are fucked, Nuno is fucked, the fans are fucked - and not in a nice sexy way.For the millionth time I will give them one last chance, I will watch this game until the end, I demand to be entertained, I demand a win, most of all I demand 100% fucking effort.

There's potential to drop to around 13th or 14th if we do lose I think. I actually remember the days when Villa were a bit of a bogey team for us as well. As far as Nuno goes, I don't think the international break will do him any favours if we do lose because there'll be that two week period for "talks" where things could happen.

Villa's league form is pretty decent so I don't know.

Villa will tear us a fucking new one... they're a well organised decent outfit.

I'd say they're better for offloading the long haired showboat for £100m. Maybe there's something in that...?

I'll state it again, it's not all Nuno's fault... but ultimately he took the gig and in doing so you'd have thought he understood the problems and had a plan to deal with them.

Remember, whilst his terms of employment won't state it... one of his primary roles is to insulate Levy from the piss poor football that was always heading our way. Poch warned us, That cunt told us... Nuno is now living it.

I'm trying to decide which was more depressing... the mid nineties or now ? I think now. Cos at least we were somewhat entertaining back then.

I’d be surprised if we win. No idea what to expect but I’ll be majorly pissed if Alli starts. What I want to see is Skipp start in midfield alongside Hjobjerg, with Tanguy, Moura and Son behind Kane, who will only stay around the box, no dropping deep.

When you look at how well Brighton played earlier against the Scum, it really does highlight how piss poor we were against them.

Wishing for the best. Hoping for a change in form. But it's the hope...

It's a 6 am start for me so I may just give it a pass. It's going to be a late night for me as it's my birthday, "all day & all of the night".

Well then, Happy Birthday dude!!!

Cheers, S&G! Many happy returns.

Me and a mate are dropping my boy off at the rink for hockey practice at 6:30, catching a train to Toronto after abandoning him, and joining Toronto Spurs at a pub to watch us stomp all over Villa in the company of other yids for the first time since cooties became widespread.

Eternally deluded chump that I am, I'm feeling a shift in the winds. Skipp to step up and make the DM role his own, Tanguy-Delle double pivot, and Kane resurgent.

Wouldn't mind a bit of product from the fullbacks, but I'll be content with baby steps.

To be honest, I haven't looked at the league table in quite a while. I see that, despite being utterly shit, we would be two points off of third place with a victory against Villa. This realization reminded me why I don't usually look at the league table.

Your first wish has been granted, will the Genie give you your second wish? No chance, Kane will need a hyperbaric chamber he'll be dropping so deep. No, that's Negative Nellie thinking, it's all going to be spiffingly super!

I know you don’t generally drop Sonny because he’ll often come up with a goal but I’d like to see Gil and Moura either side of Kane at least once

That looks about the best team we can field this season. Let's see what it can do!

Son's been great. The rest need to look at him....then look at themselves.

I actually enjoyed a lot of the first half, Harry kane so close to finishing this year's Goal Of The Season competition. We need a couple more goals so let's hope we come out fighting in the second half. It's nice to see Harry harassing the keeper, he hasn't been doing that recently, he looks more motivated now. Not a bad half from us, but remember the other week when the first half was amazing then......

I'm up.
Not a bad 1st half but we were quite sluggish for the 1st 20+ mins.
Grew into it & look much better closing out the half.
Hopefully 2nd half we pick up where we left off

I missed the first half...

We look a different side. We look like we give a fuck. We're creating lots of chances but not being clinical enough.

That was a good game to watch, I haven't said that for a while. Promising restart to our season, if we can push on from here we can forget the 9 goal blip and maybe Harry will even get a PL goal. Sonny was magnificent again.

Just back from golf, sounds like we were a different side than of late. Would've been nice to see Harry get on the score sheet, just to put the icing on the cake.3 points against a decent Villa, happy days!

This is where i naively start looking at the top end of the table again, we're only 4 points off the Chavs, cl football here we come!!

Great 3 points, but Kane still looks way off. Fortunately Son was unbelievable today. Aside from the breakdown on their goal, we kept a solid shape. Still not inspiring, but baby steps.

Son was fantastic today and won that game for us. And I have to say Ndombele wasn't bad at all either. But, Kane is now getting on my tits tbh. Ran around, didn't press hard, a few snap shots but was never a threat. Compare that with Son. DEMANDING the ball, making runs, taking defenders on. There's a case there to put Kane sitting next to Dele...play Son through the middle with Ndombele behind him and put Lucas and Gil either side of him ? Controvertial I know but.........

After the game Dean Smith said the only difference between the two teams was Son. Honestly, I thought we were better than them through most of the second half, and were pretty good value for the win overall. If nothing else the team got the job done when losing would have been very very bad indeed.

Skipp was excellent.
Emerson good, Reguillon very good.
Romero good.
Tanguy did nice things but his first touch let him down a few times.
Son brilliant.
Kane has downed tools and is being picked on reputation alone.

I thought Kane was way better than we have seen so far. 3 or 4 chances that didn't come off, pressing the defenders and the keeper and in my opinion he was a threat.
