Last time out at the Riverside in 2008,Mido scored the winner in a 2-1 loss, strangely enough I dont remember him playing for Boro,or I just refuse to and ignore the fact he beat us!!Infact in the PL era they have beaten us 10 times,we also have a peculiar relationship with their fans or should I say firm, anyway enough of that.

We have a league cup game on weds before this match,so expect heavy rotation in that fixture, maybe someone will stake a claim to start against Boro?we need that with injuries to Rose, kane, dembele and Dier already a concern going into this match.
Promoted side, soundly beaten by everton away and home by Palace ,infact they havent won since their only victory away at sunderland 2nd match of the season, currently midtable with 5pts,so surely, high flying 3rd place spurs will do it again??Well as i said our record against them and injuries mean this is no gimme, but 3pts would be perfect to go into the City game the week after, bearing in mind a must not lose trip to russia on tuesday follows after this match,so maybe Poch will keep something in the tank for that match??

Fair point about the champs league following this game, I'd make wholesale changes for the Gillingham game before this to give the players a rest and get them fully prepared for Boro, Moscow, city! Is it another international break after the city game?

Any sort of win will do me. Poch will need a bit of time to find his best XI for this season same as he did last. I expect the same tactics that Sunderland employed and about the same result unless we take our chances in which case we'll win about 5-1.

That comes with having a quality squad though. Just gotta hope they don't pick up injuries while away!!! I'm sure we'll get the win against Boro. It's away yo CSKA and home to City that worries me more.

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has said his team have been working to eliminate mistakes after suffering successive defeats.

He said: "Teams are taking advantage of our mistakes so now we need to work on that at the training ground."
The former Real Madrid defender said: "I've always been fighting to win something. This season it's the first time I'm losing games and are fighting for another aim.
""Now we need to keep going and be confident. I said two weeks ago I was really pleased with the club's work in the summer.

Karanka has said his Middlesbrough team are getting used to the higher quality of the Premier League.
Boro were promoted back to the top flight after finishing second in the Championship last season.

He said: "We know that in the Championship you could be lost for 15 mins and nothing would happen but in the Premier League if you do that you'll concede goals so we need to be concentrating for 90 minutes."

MAURICIO ON TEAM NEWS: "Danny, @mousadembele, @ericdier - we will see today in the last training session and then make a decision,@HKane is out, we need to assess him every day - he's very positive, we need to do another scan and see how long."
Poch on Dembele & Dier: "I need to decide whether we take a risk or not, or wait for the CL game in Moscow or against Man City."

Pochettino on the new contracts: “I promise you in the next few days there will be another, and I will be wearing the same thing....Maybe I change. In the last one I was in a tracksuit, as the media talked too much about my suit, my position, but it’s ok”

Yeah, tell me how shit we are under Poch
A Spurs win would be our best start to a top-flight season for 51 years, matching 4 wins and 2 draws after 6 matches in 1965/66

The lineup the Poch selects today will be shite! Why, why, why does he keep making the same tactical mistakes? Ok @skiathospurs we might be looking at our best first 6 games in donkey's years but unless we win all our games by at least 7 goals with the 'right' team selection then these stats do not count. Everybody knows that penalties don't count as goals so Janssen IS Bobby Mk II. The Goal Difference we are looking at so far after 5 games might be the best we have ever achieved in the PL but that doesn't count either because we could only get a draw against the two Merseyside clubs, yeah so Everton have won 4 out of 5 and the dippers 3, putting 4 goals past the scum and the League Champions, if the Poch had picked the right players and made sensible substitutions and bought the right players in and not sold the wrong players we would have won those two and we would have been on 15 points after winning 5 from 5.

A win today is obviously going to happen, Jannsen will probably get lucky and score a goal or 3, that useless Son bloke will fluke a couple and the Danish bloke who we should have sold last year when folks were saying how shite he was might get lucky again - BUT, even if we win 6-0 it will be totally down to luck, just like last season 's finishing in our best ever position was not because we were a good team or the Poch knew what he was doing, no, it was because ALL the either sides were shite.

I predict a lucky 6-0 win for us, but the Poch will fuck up the team selection and substitutions like he always does, so it won't count. Luckily Kane is injured so that 3 season wonder won't get picked.

And Dembele, he hardly got picked 14/15 but Poch failed to sell him in the last summer.

And what has he done for us since?

Is it wrong I noticed that Lamela appeared to have a boner when he came on?

Ive been on a motorbike for 10 hours riding up and down mountains in the Pyrenees, in fantastic sunshine. Brilliant day and this is the icing on the ever increasing Spurs cake.

Brilliant result, well done Poch and all the players...especially Son again it seems!! Interesting line up, no Mousa no Dier...am I missing something? Saving them for Tuesday?

Second in the league Get In lads....big week next week, I'd love to do City and Guardiola...

By the way if anyone goes on that other site, you can tell the morons that it's our best start for 58 years....anyone not getting the deal with Poch now?? Fucking wankers ha ha

Dembele and Dier were injured, minor strains and should be back very soon.

Our first half was awesome, dominated with Son getting two good goals the second one was something special, dribbled down the penalty area towards the goal line, turned and dribbled the other way past a few Middlesboro defenders then placed a curling shot to the far post, a bit Ricky Villa like.
