Could be a 3-5-2 on the face of it with Doherty and Sessegnon as WB's.

Maybe this game will be the one! The turning point, the start of something special, I fecking hope so. Clouds and silver linings - Emerson is not starting. Gil on the subs bench again - will he ever get another PL game or is he off in January? Sarr also on the bench, is he any good? It's a bit worrying seeing reports that Spence has been given the 'cold shoulder' from Conte who apparently didn't want to sign him?

Looks alot more solid with 3 in central midfield. This is a series test though. Just hope we go at them early and show what we can do with the best front 2 in the PL...because Kane and Son deserve that.

Good first 25/30 but totally took our foot off the gas. Lack of movement off the ball, midfield got deeper and deeper and a bit of a lack of composure on the ball. Need to get that zip back.

Sonny trying to get involved but God he looks so rusty still. Brighton are a decent side though, so it’s a really good test.

Doherty has been excellent today. Certainly deserves to retain his place after today.

Much much better. The new shape suits us. Doherty and Sess were both good. Doherty is so much better than Royal it's ridiculous...I only hope Conte gives him a run now. And Davies for Lenglet was a switch that worked well. Good solid performance all round.

Yep. The first half was good, but the second half was less good. Good finish from Sonny, but offside, nice ball in for Harry's great goal.

Second half was more about grinding it out I thought. Not pretty but certainly effective. Good game overall though and a deserved win. Could do with Liverpool remembering how to play football tomorrow as well.

Thought we looked miles better with three players in midfield. Bissouma looks like he needs more game time Roger back to the level he was at for Brighton. Very good win against a side that are good value for their place in the league right now. Even though we won I have to say I’m a little jealous of how they play.

Am I the only one that thought our kit looked like a wetsuit? I have a Hurley that looks jist like it. And Doherty has to start over Royal. He. Is. Better. I don't care what Conte says. I have eyes. Great spirit and effort, but why can't we no play pretty? We had them pegged before we scored. Once we did we changed tack and gave them acres. Bettersides will shred us if we continue. Conte has to see that. But the boys ran. Gian would be proud.
