Ok, we've had a warm up, Hugo's gone to supersavers, Hissing Sid is having a 'showdown meeting' to sort out his future - yawn, now we can start the season properly.

Nobody say "it's only Burnley" that would be dumb as dumb, they looked very good when they beat Chelsea on day one, clever football and they obviously like to pull out all the stops for the big games. This will be a tough game, much pressure on the chaps, but they will win 4-0.

COYS!

I remember that Burnley win, we'd beaten City the week before to guarantee CL football for the first time (well sort of guaranteed it before those young boys of Bern nearly ruined the party). We went 2-0 up at Turf Moor from memory and lost 4-2 looking like we didn't give much of fuck!

Spot on!

Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur, Sunday, 9 May 2010

We had those 2 useless tossers playing for us - Modric and Bale, the fucking Laurel and Hardy of football, they could only be bothered scoring a goal each - whatever happened to those two losers? Probably selling used cars somewhere.

After the chavs game I don't care how we win, just farkin win! Hoping for a less touristy fell around Wembley this time as the popcorn eaters and selfie takers didn't like me shouting "fucking cunt" every five minutes. Fucking cunts.
If we dominate possession like we did against Chelsea I'd imagine we'd create more chances than we did against Chelsea. Kane can hopefully break his goal scoring record of 0 goals in August with a goal off his backside or chin or a 30 yard screamer. I'm still a bit disappointed by the weekends result to think clearly about this one. All I know is it's only rock n roll but I like it, that's not all I know really. I also know I'll be leaving Mancunia at 7.30 on Sunday morning for kick off and we better farkin win!

For the love of god please let us win this. I can't deal with another week of this Wembley's a curse nonsense!

Fancy a Kane hat trick in a 4-0 win, two curses laid to rest in 90 minutes of absorbing entertaining football.

Pochettino says club are waiting for Davinson Sanchez's work permit, to see if he can play v Burnley.Erik Lamela has started 'outdoor work'. Nkoudou will return to training after the break. Rose few weeks away from return to training.

Rose deserves a pay rise with all of this recovering he's been doing. Hopefully we can see a bit of this Sanchez lad soon.

No wanyama, still suffering from the niggling injury or after a relatively poor game with chelsea? They will sit narrow so tactically it makes sense to have Son adding guile imo

Aha!!

Mauricio on @VictorWanyama: "Victor has a minor problem with his knee and is not available. We’ll assess him in the next few days."

Oh well, we're away next week and the hoodoo juju can't get us up there - can it?. August is over and so Harry Kane can start scoring now, that will be nice and .... at least the goons got thumped.

Heaton made some very good saves..... oh bollocks, I've run out of positive spin, OK, here's one, we have 2 points more after 3 games than we did in 2015-16 and we always start slowly and... nope, run out of positives again. At least Burnley didn't beat us like they did the Chavs.

The only hoodoo is our failure to convert a decent percentage of chances, we had this issue at the lane.

Well that was pretty shit. If it wasn't for the shit goalkeeper from last week we'd have lost that today so maybe he's not so shit and just made an error last week. Otherwise this is all down to our inability to be ready for the start of the season and that's down to one man I'm afraid. 3 points from 12 in 15/16, 5 from 9 last season and 4 from 9 this august. All to save a few quid. Onwards and upwards I guess COYS

Seriously? One team has started well and they've played no-one. Everyone else is still finding their feet.

Get a grip lads, nothing to worry about, not yet anyway.
