We’ve been drawn against Dortmund, PSG, Villareal, Eintracht Frankfurt, Slavia Praha, Bodo/Glimt, Copenhagen and Monaco.

I honestly don’t see any reason we can’t progress to the knockout stages with that draw.

Obviously we play the kids against PSG .. 😂

Don't want to jinx it but that is definitely a favorable draw.

Injuries will mean we prioritise the later stages and win it again whilst skirting relegation again...

Prices for the home CL games are shocking IMO.

Mathys Tel, Kota Takai, Yves Bissouma, Radu Dragusin, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski have all been left out. Tel is the one that puzzles me. I can understand the others with the injuries and Bissouma being out of favour but I would have thought Tel would be a no-brainer.

It is interesting and makes me wonder why we just paid £30m for him? (unless it was an obligation which I didn't think it was).

Solanke is in the squad so the rumours that we got Kolo Muani because he was injured may not be the case.

I don't fully understand the various categories and restrictions but from what I've read, I think it came down to Odobert or Tel. So, kind of take your pick. With Kolo Muani coming in, Tel isn't likely to be needed to fill in at CF, and we have a number of better options in the wide positions at the moment.

Maybe we have to resign ourselves to the idea that he's one for the future. We got him for less than we paid for Gray, after all. Trust in Frank's record of developing attackers, I suppose.

I do, however, miss the days when we frequently had a load of academy products fighting for spots on the roster and even gameday squads.

Yeah I’ve said for years that I’ve been as annoyed, maybe even more, by the lack of academy players coming through as our transfer business. With all the others loaned out, Brandon Austin is our only club trained player.

I'd snap your hands off at another Poch era with almost half the England squad being a Lillywhite...
