Holy fuck! Watched that with a fellow yiddo who's 80 years old, one of my mates and my 11-year-old son. All three reckoned they were risking heart attack.

Gil was bad but keeps getting better. Royal was asked to do something he's not very good at, and did alright. Johnson was supposed to be one-dimensional and is there in pop-out full-figured 3D. And Deki, what a man!

The spirit in this squad is incredible. And these are the understudies and old hands. We'll get our top choices back soon, and watch out.
What? Do fucking what? “Gil was bad”? No, no, and fucking no he was not. i know it’s a subjective thing, but ffs, He was fucking great and Royal in no universe ‘did alright’. One of us needs to go Specsavers because we are seeing very different games.

One thing you want to see in injury crisis is players on the margins forcing their way into the manager's plans. Dos Santos has very much done that IMO. I was really hoping Gil would do the same, but he looks way off the pace.
Like I said, noooooooooooooo, Which game were you blokes watching.? Gil is the little chap who was running around, setting up Son’s goal, making their blokes look stupid when they tried to tackle him, playing decent passes, working his bollocks off, that bloke. Him and Lo Celso have really stepped up and proved that they deserve places in the squad.

Dos Santos?????

There’s a fucking name I had hoped was erased from our collective memories.

Dos Santos indeed.😳

Holy shit. Well they both have cool names, and I thought Giovanni LO CELSO was good against City and I'd say against Villa too. It's one reason I feel a lot better about the stretch coming up than I did when the injuries and suspensions started piling up.

Brain lapses aside, Dos Santos did OK for himself once he came to the States and Mexico. Really good player for LA Galaxy and decent for Club America. I used to see kids wearing his Mexico shirt all the time.

I don't care what you grumpy opinionated cunts think... Gill, while he did OK, didn't impact the game enough. He held he ball and he ran around a bit, but he didn't do anything... Any credit for Sons goal is laughable... Sonny ran from his own fucking half nearly and belted it in...

Hoijberg was pucka when he came on., Skippy too was rock solid and those substitutions changed the game and got us back in it...

GLC had maybe his best game for us... At that level he could be a Maddison stand in... He has always had the ability he hasn't been able to stick it all together as the main man... Great for him and for us that he has done it... Now we expect it more and more often.

Sonny/Vicario/Kulu were great and made Citeh stay a little bit honest and stopped them rampaging all over us.

Other than the bizarre mistake the ref made at the end, thought he had a great game. Loved the ugly cyborg loosing his shit after the game... Wouldn't want to take a right hook off the cunt though, he's a fucking troll...!

Mentally we took way more away from that game than a point... That was a win for the lads when no cunt expected anything and even worse a trouncing.

I think I might watch it back today... Fresh eyes and hindsight and all that.

So, Gil did not win the ball, brilliantly ride the City tackle, turn and make a superb pass to Lo Celso who played an equally great pass to Sonny? I must have imagined that. Laughable eh?

'I love the gameplan: Kulusevski backs fearless Tottenham to be at the top
You have to love it when players basically just paraphrase the club motto in the postgame:

“I’m not questioning anything. I love exactly his [Postecoglu’s] mentality because that’s how I want to live my life. Doesn’t matter who you’re playing against or what you’re doing in life, just go. And if it messes up, it messes up. You did it with your heart. You’re not afraid. You’re trying to win the game, not trying to lose the game. I love the gameplan."

Read something earlier I thought was pretty good. Paraphrasing slightly but it said Ange took his team to a stadium where the home team completed the treble the season before and had won 23 out of 24 home games.

Ange had a back four made up entirely of fullbacks and two first choice midfielders missing and still came away with a point.

If that doesn't underline the change in attitude then I don't think anything will.

Haaland should have been sent off for his swearing at the ref, and again for his behaviour after the game. Grealish should have been red carded for being a pikey cunt and abusing the ref. We should win the award for comedy kick off of the season for our start to the second half and @Yid should get a badge saying he's an ageist cunt who needs to go Specsavers.

Thinking about it more after your post, I wouldn't be surprised if Haaland's PR people had him send out that tweet to avoid some retrospective punishment.

On the refs thing--something has to give. Among the many things I like about Ange is that he doesn't get stuck into them after decisions go against us. I was a bit under the weather this weekend, which means I watched about 8 games in two days. In every one I saw there was at least one incident involving OTT dissent either before or after the game. It does look like it's a "give an inch, take a mile" scenario--if you allow players any latitude on dissent, they're going to lose their shit.

I tend to think the last thing we need is a big rule change in the game right now, so I'm not sure a sin bin in the answer--when these kids get in adults faces and scream (and really, that's what's going on) they should probably just be sent the fuck off.

This is the circle we are going to end up in.

Refs get gurned at which then brings in VAR. Then complain about VAR. Then complain when a ref makes a decision again.

Ange seems to be sticking to his guns. He doesn't like VAR and gives the refs the respect they need.
