We really need to win this, our recent premier league form is pony, only Huddersfield and Fulham are below us in the last 6 games table, we have only got 1 point in our last 5 games - that has to stop. Our first real home game in yonks, time to make WHL a place visiting teams fear.

From the club site:

As we prepare for the historic first Premier League match in our new stadium against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, we should like to advise all supporters attending to arrive as early as possible.
A reminder that we kick-off at 7.45pm.
Please note, we shall be opening General Admission areas at an earlier time of three hours before kick-off, 4.45pm, to enable fans ample time to clear security and access the stadium. Premium areas will as usual also be open three hours before kick-off.
We really do encourage fans to make the necessary arrangements to ensure you can get to the stadium as early as possible on the night, bearing in mind busy weekday commuter travel times too.
We shall be asking for fans to take their seats for the match no later than 30 minutes before kick-off for the start of the ceremony itself.

Win this game by any means necessary. As the great man said, "If you lose this game you'll take it to your fucking graves. Your fucking graves!" Or at least I know I will. Really hope the players give a hoot.

This absolutely has to happen. Stall the skid in the table, sure, but this is one for the ages.

Any chance Harry W will be back? What I wouldn't give for a fit Dembele right now. Or even a Parker. Or a Sandro. We simply cannot relegate Eriksen to a DM role. Maybe we should stick with Danny there, and make Jan fulfil his destiny?

Please Poch , stop playing Kane so fecking deep ,meh didn’t win the Golden Boot 2/3 last years playing there , he was the top man .
I know it was a break , and HK is one of the best headers of the ball , but why was it Sissoko and Son up front on that break and Not Alli( I think he’d been subbed by then ) Or Kane
We’ve just got to have a TICKER TAPE celebration on our return to the Lane.

We’re back at the Lane , we’re back at the Lane , Wembley a shitole , we’re back at the Lane

Honestly, I'd even like Bentaleb back. Wonder if Foyth is up to it? What we really need is a another creative midfileder (besides Winks) but we just don't have one. Eriksen is not at CM. Maybe against bottom teams he is OK but he is a CAM or a winger. Imagine if we spent even 60 mil that last window or two? We'd be challenging for the title and gunning for European glory instead of hanging on for dear life. Just seems so shortsighted.

Just can’t see us not winning. The boys are gonna be so pumped for this, the last thing they’ll want is to lose our first game at the new stadium. The last hour against the Dippers has given me renewed optimism going into the final stretch of games, get the job done boys!

SSN just interviewed a young man walking in the stadium for the first time. The interviewer asked him what he thought, and he looked in the camera and said, "fuckin' brilliant."

Love it.

The ONLY thing I don't like and it's going to take some getting used to is the tv gantry in on the wrong side so now the ground looks backwards! This is very weird, left for Park Lane and Right for Paxton!

First off, that was absolutely nuts! The place looks friggin amazing. A few points of concern though (I'm a Spurs fan, were you expecting unbridled optimism???). First, WTF is with the empty seats behind the goals? In the South it appears that those are maybe reserved seats for special guests or something? What's more special than the opening match? And in the north there were several rows behind the goal that were empty. Levy, couldn't we fill that in? Jeez. Also, the big gap between the away fans and the home support doesn't look great but I think that is baked into the cake so to speak. They can remove those seats for certain events so the stewards can maintain crowd control? Minor, but I am a stickler.

Another thing seemed to be that almost all of the noise (at least on TV) seemed to come from the south stand, and the south stand only. Not sure if it played that way in the stadium. Maybe just a mic issue.

The stadium looks dark. Real dark. And all our supporters seemed to wear dark colors. I have to say I though it looked awesome. Almost had I film noir feel. The stadium looks like an old time stadium that was built on a massive scale. I can't believe how close to the pitch the fans are. If we can fill it with 62,000 rabid supporters we will have a massive advantage. All in all, well done, Levy. You cunt!

I think it looked dark because the advertising LED and spotlights are so bright and there are a lot of both, making everything else appear darker than normal? it is a great fan experience for watching football though. The pikeys are going to feel like they're on the pitch when they visit in a few weeks time.....bet they try and smash things up, cunts.

Very few had shirts on or showing because it was actually snowing,so that added to the darkness,a sunny day will change that optic quickly.
Regards empty seats in the north stand the first 2 rows were unused and in the south the first row was unused,it wasnt because they werent attended, they werent on sale.I couldnt say why?The gap between away for segregation is a gangway and will always be so for football,i dont think they will faff about sticking the 100 seats it would add for nfl, rugby, concerts?Thats just the way in england because of hooliganism issues in the past, and probably needed here for the license, because WHL never had such a gap.
In the south i could hear the shelf (east stand loud when the shelfside-park lane song was going,i even heard the north stand at some points.I think what you speak of is sympathetic mic-ing up by the broadcaster,it is the same at anfield,if you are there it isnt all that, as an away fan we hardly heard the kop even when we were quiet, even when the contrived YNWA is played for the singalong if the away fans are singing I couldnt hear them and yet when you see it back, you dont really hear the away fans, its all i would suggest broadcasters agenda.Maybe the hype with sth stand will get this same entitled treament for us,it would be nice!!
