Well I loved his play since Poch changed his position slightly,loved his debut even more!!But like many,I am more than a little pissed at the guy for his comments;
The dust has settled,and he is now back training with the squad,with a possible return to the team in the next month.My feelings are quite confused towards the guy,he has the right to what he feels i agree,even if I dont agree with all the content,but to the sun?Just as a new season started,having been injured and not played for half a season where perhaps we did pretty ok I think!!Maybe the context and the Walker transfer going on twist the message?I am trying to be level here in my reactions and thinking neither defend or attack him,I do have feelings on that,but his imminent return has me conflicted about possible reactions from our fanbase.
I have no doubt both the team and Pochettino`s staff have made their peace with the situation now,and Poch wont let this affect team spirit or morale.Whether he is out the door in january,that is down to poch not danny rose or the fans,or I would hope so.
I have thought through what happens when the team is read out over the PA lets say first home game he plays, number 2;kieran trippier yaay,number 3 danny rose.......what follows?silence?boo or yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay?What happens first times he gets the ball,misses a tackle or miss places a pass?encouragement or "fuck off out of my club you snake".What signal would that send to the other players?keep your mouth shut or get the same,or do I want to play for these fans?
Can we ever have him truly back in the fold,can he rise above it & perform to earn our forgiveness (OFC he can,I mean can he fight through the inevitable abuse from some).will he just mull about until the inevitable sale to Man utd,and how the fuck does ben davies feel about it,if he does come back better or as good as?
There was quite a split reaction on social media to photos of him returning to training,I would guess a slight majority were quite vitriolic,a few snake emojis here and there and others vocal in needing him back this busy crucial time.
If he does get the bird how will we look to the viewing public?how will rose react?rise up and fight to be a spur or simply bide his time for 2 months and fuck off with a huge rise to boot.Is a fee of £50m good enough to get rid as soon as?no doubt without those comments we would be fighting to keep him to stay.
Like I said I have conflicted feelings on the matter,but hope we dont go overboard in giving Danny stick,my own thinking ATM is just dont shout or say nothing until he gives us reason to cheer him on again.If he cops serious abuse,it could really derail the teams mindset is my view.
