The Rose/Walker FB combo was the best I've ever seen in the PL. Yeah, I know I'm probably biased but I really can't think of one better. Such a quick rise and rapid fall, but he did seem to have his wiring off a bit. Such a shame because he could really play.

I'm sure I've blathered on about this before, but the very qualities you look for in a mate--speak your mind, no bullshit, don't blow smoke up my ass when I deserve a rocket, etc.--are exactly the things we crucify public figures for.
It could certainly be argued that he was disruptive, and I bet his teammates got to the point that they'd had enough, but I bet he never let anyone down by not standing up.
Too bad he couldn't leave the game adorned with treasure, but I'd say he did it with his head held high. More than most of us can say.
And on the field, at his best, he was magnificent.
