      Disclaimer.

Firstly, this is kind of the opposite of ITK,and the premise of each transfer is meant to be slightly ridiculous, after all at the time 18m for carrick,80m for Bale,30m for berbatov were. Its also not the view that a player should be sold, merely a reflection of some of the media bollocks constantly floated as click bait.

Its not enough to merely reply:"no bollox not selling" to every deal submitted, bare in mind yourselves as supporters,Daniel Levys keerchingometer rating and finally a players head turned by either club (Bale) or earnings offered (Bale).
ITS NOT FUCKING PERSONAL,just a bit of a laugh and debate .

      #15 Eric Dier
      [IMG]

Been some speculation about summer bids for Eric,so does anyone (except Levy) get a semi if someone offers £50m for the kid?
Seems far fetched?some rags reporting Drawchester Utd are targetting him in a £40m summer raid, seeing as they have fucked us over before over players, stick a £10m surcharge for being arses and PL rivals,£50m??surely we could buy with that??
Jack of all trades master of none before you all scream utility player!!

      Deal or no deal?

No deal for me,nothing to do with a "talent footballing" perspective, his relationship with the squad rather than his game play make him central to the teamness we have, would open the flood gates to discontent if we took the cash, even if an obscene amount.Potential for huge improvement too with coaching, like Kane he is a learner if not born the most gifted in a hoddlesque way. However throw in Isco and Barkley for the same money, what would Poch/Levy think??

      No deal for me.
I think he's a huge player for us tbh. Plus, and you've already alluded to it mate, what he seemingly brings to the squad by way of personality is priceless imo. will never forget the post match(vs citeh) interview he did early in his Spurs career when he basically said "fuck you , we are here to stay" to the footballing world.

My answer would be maybe... IF Sisoko could turn into the 30 million quid signing we paid for and if Winksy carries on with his current positive curve we may be OK without Eric. I would argue that 55 would be where I said deal and I'd want him out of the league if posible.

No deal. Dier can play three positions, and will continue improving - no way should we be getting rid of a player like that.

Thats the whole thing mate,we can bury our heads and say no to selling anyone, but regardless of affection for a player, silly money is what it takes and silly money is what is paid by some. You would think with 50m you could do good business and have change left in your pocket, now its all a bit of pie in the sky this thread, but truth is everybody has their price.FFS how much did Oscar go for?sometimes stupid money wins out,and city, united, chelsea often pay stupid money, though chelsea less so nowadays.
Thankfuly I think eric isnt one to go all Bale and swoon over another club.Pogba 90m Dier at 55m would be bargain in comparison at united.

I don't think the money is what we should be focussing on at the moment. We have a squad of players who obviously like playing with each other and like playing for the Poch. The team spirit is probably the best I have seen at Spurs for yonks and yonks. Yes we could buy replacements for blokes like Big Eric, and they would on paper be better players, but could we buy that team spirit and commitment to the cause? The gamble would be too big, the odds on getting a 'star' player in who would give as many fucks as our current lineup did would be short and as that wolf twat says, the odds are nailed on predictions of what will be.

We have a proper team, I like it, don't sell nobody Levy. Get JD back if he is happy to be an 'impact sub', Wave some pound notes in the faces of the Celtic bosses and get both their Dembeles, Moussa and the 13 year old kid Karamoko, he obviously hates Scotland and wants to play in England cos he played for the England youth team before being forced to go back and play for Scotland's under 16s. Give his family a nice big house and stick him in our academy. We would be invincible with three Dembeles, but our Mousa will probably be retired when mini-Dembele is ready for the first team. OK, Levy will be fucked off that he missed Moussa last year, you stupid twunt Levy, you could have had him for £5m, now he will cost £30m and those nasty chavs will probably lure him with sweeties and puppies in the back of their van, but I have been saying for farking yonks that we should sign him. £30m in today's football is fuck-bleeding-all.

We have a core of players that needs to stay together. Of the current first team squad I'd only want us to move on those on the periphery. The squad spirit is as important as anything we have going on at the moment and needs to stay intact, particularly with the uncertainty of next season.

      No Deal.

We are probably, maybe, possibly, on the cusp of a step-change breakthrough across all areas of the club. Pivotal in that is the performance of the team and manager. We seem to have a unique mindset and bond at present, which is key to achieving everything that is being talked about. Dier is instrumental in all of that, in the same way as any other first XI player would be. It sends out entirely the wrong signal and undoes much of what has been achieved. He is also a leader in the making and our 'hard man', he is also engaged to Dele and that could mean Dele is less inclined to stay.

The only way we can now improve the squad is spending big bucks on player and wages, with no guarantee of success, so fuck that plan as well.

I cant and dont disagree, but some offers can be made and a player like berbatov, modric,Bale will want out.I dont put Dier in that bracket, but some if media bollocks start spouting off about 250k a week may well do a ratfish boy,or if bayern or la liga clubs start offering bale-esque figures then we `d probably end up puckering up.
In some ways it would be easier if a big star name was to be sold for outrageous sums I think the team would understand, like when bale left it was inevitable with the situation. For sure there will much bollocks spouted about man u,citeh, psg, madrid and some of our players,it happens every week even now with no window open.I hope the improvements year on year by this team,a loved manager, new stadium means no one we value is sold. But cos Im a weirdy beardy cunt,I will still have another noel edmonds deal or no deal for you all to piffle over.

Times have changed dramatically since Berba, Modric and Bale and two out of those three were getting on and couldn't see us winning anything anytime soon or playing Champions league consistently.

Recent accounts tell us that we don't need to sell either and if push came to shove, we could increase the wages, which I think will happen in about 18 months - 2 years anyway. that's when they will get itchy feet, if we haven't won anything as well.

The only place they would be sold to is abroad. At present there is no guarantee of winning anything at City or United in the UK. The only driver would be money, and I doubt Levy would sell to a PL rival anyway.

I really like Eric, I don't think he's the most talented footballer in the world and £50 mill would be a crazy amount for someone to pay for him but he does give us options in terms of the positions he can play and I absolutely agree what he gives us off the pitch is just as valuable as what he gives us on it. He just comes across as a really good lad with no airs and graces and a lad that others gravitate towards as a character.

He seems to be quite tight with Alli and if Alli were to let the plaudits and success get to his head, then he's the sort of lad that would give him a good clip round the ear.

His playing style reminds me a little of Huddlestone's, he can look a little slow and cumbersome on the ball but has a decent range of passing and on his day can spray the ball around for fun, however he maybe one of those players that doesn't get any better than he already is and down the line, we may regret turning down any potential big offer that comes in for him. I think however, his standing as a character within the team and the positional options he gives us, makes it a no deal for me at present.

@skiathospurs how does this work? Do we say deal or no deal to what we think of it or do we try to get in the mind of the Levy and imagine if he would say deal or no deal, or likewise to Poch or say if it's going to happen or not????

      Either way, no fucking deal.

lol im thinking of allocating the following
      1.media bullshit rating
      2.Levy keerchingometer rating

Its all a bit of harmless taking a media clickbait rumour and seeing if it has legs
Today I saw "everton want trippier after coleman concerns" I thought oh thats a good deal or no deal,5m they were saying, now thats a no fucking way deal, now say it was £18m ??Im intrigued to know what ridiculous offer will actually work to get one of our jewels, cos basically we ll all say no deal, but if there`s any kind of offer for Alli this summer it will be a world record.Transfers have gone mad,and we will all say no until they offer so much, how much over 100m for Alli before no becomes Hmmmmmmm?I will try and stick to media gossip here and not just WUM the place up.You can view it with your fans,Levy`s,Poch`s,the players perspective.
The serious part is I cant imagine there being no stories about hugo, toby, walker, rose, eriksen,Alli,Kane from now until september, lets face it they are rather special.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the blend and synergy between the whole group, not just the individuals themselves. It is a special and difficult thing to achieve these days , to get a group of 15-16 players to bLend as a mutually supportive unit. Most teams are just a bunch of mercenaries ...Ferguson achieved it at United for the most part and Wimbledon back in the day. We've definitely got it atm so selling even the odd player here or there is not so easy to quantify those going out as well as anyone coming in.

No deal for Eric. Essential player who has done a real job for us this season despite Victor's arrival.

@Yid I could actually see Trippier going. Not saying I want him to, but many more performances like Watford, and there will be lots of interested parties, and he might be too good to spend much more time on the bench (I'm assuming obviously that Walker's first choice)

I think likewise with trippier, but the £5m I saw quoted is ridiculous, just as is some of the flak aimed at Dier this season.Bloke is a kid in terms of the roles he plays, and so far has covered RB,CB in a 4 and 3,midfield a seasoned pro with years under his belt would struggle in these areas and keep being shifted around. How much was Pogba?check him out vs Dier easy to see who has most value to a team regardless of fee.

Not my gorgeous boy Eric. @skiathospurs how dare you even suggest such a thing o_O

But seriously, no way, no deal.

In fact take pretty much the whole team and attach no deal to them. For me, as in reality, not living off other people's memories, this is the first squad that I completely have faith in. Sure things can still go belly up etc but I believe in them.

We have a genuine chance of achieving something as a club, but it is beyond important that we keep the cohesion of this team together. Just selling one player could actually start an exodus from this team.

I see as a club that one of two things will happen. We will go on and achieve great things with this young team, or we'll sell them, turn a profit, make some other team fantastic with an Eric, or Dele or Harry..... and then we start the process again. If the latter happens you have to wonder how long bossman will stick with us.

We are a well oiled machine just missing the odd cog or two. Sometimes money isn't what the club or squad needs....But stability

There are players in the squad that I would be willing to sell or loan out, but there names haven't been mentioned yet!

How about it folks, would you accept £25m for Lamela to return to italy??Deal or no deal.
Once again its not my desire or wish or reflection on my views on Erik, but 2nd place & he hasnt played, injury concerns, not selling to a rival............ take it??

Oooh trickier.....but he is part of this, so still No. on present form if we needed £25m then it would have to be Sissoko, who isn't yet really part of this group.

We could get something else with that... fuck knows what... it's a maybe simply due to the uncertainty over his injury.

So the rumour mill is in full swing, who shall we pick today?Walker-Bayern,eriksen too good for spurs (source fat clog wearing has been),Dele to city, wimmer to west brom........

Ok,jobs on the line,he wants an english spine (alledgedly) Pep is in shit creek cos there are more than 2 teams in the league, ridiculous talk of world record £90m bid incoming, utter tosh, way too cheap lets say the bidding reaches around £115m with the two El Plasticos and city all sniffing around like monsieur Magoo on the school bus seat.£115m for a £5m player, could you say no to that?thats 7 decent signings on paper  or you could buy Sane,Mane,,barkley&zaha and have a few quid left for beers.
Most important when Marca and the daily mail start talking about +£200k wages will Dele still be the luverble rogue,or a judas ratfishboy.

I am making a joke cos we have been down this road before, for me no deal (this year),unless Poch senses an attitude change and puts him on the Wimmer naughty chair.

What happens if someone goes bonkers and its £135m offered?anyone think that is out of bounds?seemed that way when Real took the orange one for £80m didnt it??

Neymar has a £170m release clause. Dele is as good if not better considering his age. Football money is bonkers. You want to know how bonkers....we could sell sell Dele for £170m, buy a player for £100m and pay him £448,000 a week on a 3 year contract. Now before everyone falls off their chair laughing, Mbappe at Monaco, aged 18 is valued (exaggeratedly) at £110m......There's a lot of tenuous connections in that lot but you get where I'm coming from....Everyone has a price, it's who you recruit that's the issue.

For the avoidance of doubt, I say we keep Dele for 2 more years and same goes for Eriksen and see where we/they are at. If all is well and we are dominating Europe they will be worth £200- £250m. Walker and Wimmer......not quite the same argument.

Crikey,I must get you to do my insurance claim valuation :D

Thing is the club ATM would be saying no about all these assets for even stupid money, this is where the top 4,madrid/barca tittysucking media fuck everyone over, they basically advertise the deals to the players, its like stubhub tapping up,not illegal or rule breaking by the clubs, but no doubt they leak&use the media to propogate deals, isnt that what happened with Bale?berbatov?
It will be spun that over £100m for a £5m spend is fantastic for THFC,that Dele can win the champions league and earn 300k a week (probably tax free judging by messi&neymar),unless Dele is a remarkable patient, loyal lad its aggro time then whether he stays or goes. Its a dirty game and we play it too, just not with as much clout. Its why I dont really like seeing speculation linking us to players Berahino for example, its the same shit just smaller fry.
Martin Chivers openly told me that on his england call up,Jimmy greaves under instruction from Bill Nic asked Chivers if we bid for him would he come (from his boyhood club),he said yes, jimmy reported back and we did sign him.Nowadays for us it is if an offer so big is made that it is palatable for the fans/club to concede,The higher over £100m it goes the more it becomes understandable for us.

For me this deal isnt the size of the fee offered its the wages deal splashed allover the press that decides it and if Dele gets a semi over fantastical amounts.

None of the big guns goes anywhere! I don't want anything to destabilise what we're trying to achieve, I fear if one of the big boys goes, then it might set off a bit of a chain reaction and others might kick up a bit of fuss and the press will jump all over it.

2 years and if we've won nothing, then yeah but not till then for me.

We should sell Rose, Walker, Trippier, Dele, Kane oh and Toby and Eriksen too.

Replace Poch with Koeman. That's a guaranteed 4 points more next season or 7 the season after!

Well based on what Southampton did...

      Deal.

If it's in isolation. No deal if in any way this starts the small selling club bullshit and prompts others to think about their options.
