Frankfurt have nothing riding on this game--they can't progress in the CL. They sacked their manager last week and were beaten at home by Hoffenheim on the weekend under a youth team coach that will also be in charge for this one. We're guaranteed a place in the knockout round (avoiding a play-in) with a draw, and would almost definitely finish fifth with a win.

We are going to lose, aren't we?

We'll probably batter them which will make the incompetent fucks in the boardroom think that Frank is still the man for the job.

We'll then get battered by City and the same people will be looking at each other with confused looks saying "But we won against that team who had nothing to play for ??"

I hope we win comfortably, and that we win the next game too. And the one after that, and so on.

Maybe we can then bin off the premier league in order to have a go in Europe, which I keep hearing was the right approach a year ago, when we were also serving up comically inept football.

Win the CL and get relegated...

Nah, I wouldn't take that deal, not ever.

Really? I don’t know. Let me put it this way: if it was offered in June 2019 I might’ve taken it. Neither one will happen anyway.

What's more likely... winning the Champions League or getting relegated....

For what its worth, the bookies have us at about 2.5X as likely to get relegated as to win the CL. Long odds for both.

that would be "Proper Spursy"
Win the CL and go down...
I wonder how we would do in the championship... the thought is a little scary... seeing our recent record against the Premiere League fodder ....

I can see that everyone is as excited as me about our lineup! But I was stunned to discover that Mario Goetze is still playing. Who knew?

I'm especially excited about midfielder #89

Xavi's got to score there. 1 v 1 with the keeper from 7 yards out!

Commentator: “Tottenham not phased by the boo’s”
Me: “Like playing at home”

Decent 30 minutes

We are gonna regret not scoring. Could be 3 nil but we couldn't finish a sentence. They can definitely hit us on the counter. Vicario yelling at the team to run forward was a bit hilarious.

Were the far better team over 45 minutes. Really should’ve been 2 up. Kolo Muani has gotten to the end line a couple times and pulled it back, but otherwise just gets in the way

Jeez, I think he’s played well and deserves his goal.
