Equine Pugilists vs THFC Sun 1st Sep

T

TBWAH

Player in Training.
Our all time record vs NUFC stands at 74 wins 62 losses and 34 draws.

Since the 2017-2018 season we have 8 wins, 4 losses & 2 draws.

3 of those losses have come in the last 4 matches including a 6-1 defeat in April 2023.

My personal favourite was the 5-1 loss under Pochetino when we needed a point on the last day to finish 2nd and above Woolwich for the first time in a couple of decades and the players took their deckchairs instead.

For the record there have been 19 players that have appeared for both clubs in the Premier League era including one of our all time legends, Sol Campbell.

Team-wise, Ange will be waiting to see if Solanke, Udogie and Bentancur are available for selection. Otherwise the team largely picks itself.

I don't think Newcastle are really all that and would like to think we can sneak a win but it will probably end all square.

I have donned a hard hat and flak jacket in anticipation of the pelters coming my way.

Therapy sessions pre-booked.

I still have nightmares about the 7-1 hiding we got in 1996!
December 28th

We were 7-0 down but got an 89th minute consolation goal with Nielsen

I tried to get into the fighting cock when the the last site closed. They wouldn’t let me in for like a six month waiting period. Cunts.

It can be a bit toxic but the Administration gave us all a bollocking last month and banned any talk of politics and it’s worked!

No more bad arguments going round in circles by the same posters regurgitating the same subjects like Brexit for instance!

Usually new posters are welcome as the more the merrier?

It got really bad at one time where there were threats to other posters families and I think the police got involved!

Ridiculous really as bantz is one thing but leave families out of it.

The toxic arguments I was referring to were ruining other threads as the posters involved clearly didn’t get on and many threads just degenerated into the same crap so I agreed with the moderator taking some action as he was getting fed up of it.

TFC has a self moderation system where you can vote another poster into the bin and if that poster receives 5 such votes a yellow card is administered but he can still post.

This usually lasts for two weeks.

If, during the two weeks, the offending poster gets another 5 votes, in other words if he doesn’t give it a rest, then he goes into the bin for a period of time at the moderator’s discretion.
Usually 2-4 weeks.

This usually works but if the same poster keeps getting these bans he’s given a final warning before being permanently banned from the forum.

This creates alot of work for the moderator sifting through votes wether they are valid or not etc so he’s banned the political threads and any discussion of politics.

He could of course close the forum.

I noticed that when this forum was opened a lot of the original members had decamped from another forum.

I’d assumed that it was from SC but maybe Glory Glory and Scaramunda?

I’m ok with that and I can give it but I’ve been well behaved so far and if it gets silly then there’s the ignore button!

I mever find myself needing anything stronger than the words of wisdom Jeff Lebowski laid on us all those years ago: "No Walter, you're not wrong, you're just an asshole!"

Looking back the old place was full of cunts n you couldn't speak your mind so it got boring as fuck. Looking back we were probably the cunts. Good cunts though and that's where this place came from.

Anywho.

We are not to speak the name of the place we migrated from but for the life of me, I can't remember it anyway.

There was the incident a few years ago when a Toon fan actually punched a police horse on the chin!
This is one of my favourite stories ever. It was the morning of a Tyne-Wear derby if I recall correctly. I may have dreamed this, but I think the city of Sunderland subsequently submitted a petition for the horse to have the freedom of the city or a badge of honour or something of the sort. And brought it out in a parade during the reverse fixture.
