Our first visit to the new ground. Frank said Romero and Udogie are still out. Solanke isn't quite ready to return and Kolo Muani can't do 90 minutes.

This is an awkward one--I can't be bothered to look it up but I feel like we always drew at Goodison, and I could see that happening again this time.

Play a back five, start Sarr and Bergval in midfield, and give the ball to Kudus on every possession. Need to try something different because we have been shit.

Start Johnson instead of Tel up front.

Hopefully Sarr starts too.

Pauline and Bentancur .. again.

His treatment of Sarr and Bergvall is baffling.

so strange.. I know Bergvall makes at least one crazy mistake a game (losing the ball at the worst time, ridiculous back pass to no one)
But Him and Sarr are among our most positive players, they look to attack their opponent and understand what forward means. They are both growing as players and in my opinion need time on the pitch.

well they’re getting time on the pitch, but it’s obvious that Frank trusts experience and solidity over youth especially in the PL.

Saying that, if Bentancur in particular can’t play more positively something has to give, especially with Romero out. (FWIW I’d have one of Bergvall or Sarr with Pauline)

I'd include Archie Gray in that list as well.

I don’t mind this pairing away from home, which may explain our form is good as we are pretty solid. At home, it’s to negative to start both

This is fair. Seeing the control they provide early on in this game.

Unrelated: if we let this guy Beto score I may smash my TV screen

This Danso kid has looked solid filling in for Romero. What’s the scoop with him again?
