Financial irregularities...

So...

Manc City continue to try and lawyer their way out of trouble for over 100 financial irregularities in their accounting...

Everton have already been docked points and along with Nottingham Forest are being investigated for further breaches...

Spurs were mentioned for issues around the use of an unregistered agent during the Pompey to Spurs Jermaine Defoe deal under Array Redknap...

Who is next to fall foul to what does seem like a bit if basket case set of rules that are changing over the coming season?

It seems quite incredible that City have 115 charges against them and are allowed to carry on as if nothing has happened and Everton are likely facing a second points deduction that will almost certainly relegate them.

I know mate... They're lawyering their way out of this...

It's a fucking piss take out of every club...

But the precedent has been set by the incredibly harsh treatment of Everton...

I can see them being "Rangers'd"... I fucking hope so anyway...

This is all a bit absurd. You can't go from no enforcement to then going back 20 years looking for violations. Set clear rules, apply them and enforce punishment if breached. Only the smaller clubs will get screwed in this process. There is no justice being metted out here. Just a big show.

I’ll be shocked if city face anything more than a rap on the knuckles. Everton and Forest are fucked, though.

If they don't, then I think he Premier League could fall apart.

It'll bring on the European Super League way way quicker...!

PL credibility is on the line. Let's see how much it means to them.

The root of the problem is that the guys who own City have more money than the Premier League (and UEFA and FIFA for that matter.)

Absolutely. And maybe, that is the end game for all the big boys.

Create the problem
Highlight the obvious injustice
Anger the smaller clubs
Create division
Suggest the solution that's best for all.
Create the Super league.
Job done.

It's going to happen, it's just a case of when. It's sad. Football is becoming completely soulless. A play thing for the super rich. The English game is only English now by the geographical location of the grounds. That's it. The ordinary genuine fan finds it difficult to afford to go to games now, and do the clubs care ? Do they fuck. Cos if you can't pony up, there's 100 fans standing behind you ready to hand you the dough....the EFL is dying on its feet and the FA won't say boo to the PL so that's where we are.
The only PL games I watch are Spurs games now. I'll watch championship or even league one matches in preference cos its proper full blooded football. No divas, no rolling around like you been shot, and fans that actually watch the match with their eyes, not their phones.
Ah fuck everything!

Agree with everything Dave is saying. I’m also lately watching championship games or even stuff from the Eredivisie or elsewhere over PL games that don’t involve Spurs.

On the super league, I look at it this way. In effect there already is a super league. It’s the Premier League, and there are a handful of Italian and Spanish clubs who want to join it at the expense of the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham, not to mention the clubs in the Championship who fight for (and borrow money against the chance of) promotion to the PL.

It makes me very sad to see the direction things seem to be going.

Man City hearing started a few weeks back and it's all very quiet, nothing leaked that I can see.

Money still talks for them it would seem.

I think no news is probably good news... Means that reporting embargoes and being respected...

Only people who would leak would be them so they can challenge the outcome.
