Well, it'll be nice to watch Spurs in 2024 with no pressure on us to really do anything. I genuinely feel like we've over achieved already. Yes I'll always want more and want us to win but I didn't expect anything like what we've got... However...

This is a good chance to dust off the trophy cabinet but it's the same chance every year, and while I like winning stuff (I think I do, my memory isn't what it was when we did trophies),we do have to think about our players and the amount of them we appear to be churning through under Ange.

A good, fruitless cup run will not help anyone. A good, fruitful cup run will do fucking wonders...!

It is only the 3rd round after all...

All the big names now enter the competition and while I'd rather we win it, if we did go out now, playing the kids... Not many fucks for me to give, considering we're desperate for for players.

Like I said, pressure off for me. I'd like to see some kids thrown in, some fringe players step up and us look to rest important players wherever we can.

I’d rather not see wholesale changes tonight but I’d equally like to see one of the younger players get a chance as well.

Sounds like there could be a strong chance that Mickey could put in an appearance as well. Reading that he’s trained three times this week with the first team which is great news.

Wonder if Dane Scarlett will get a start ?

Given that we don't play again until the 14th, I reckon the kids will start on the bench, and only put in an appearance if the result is well in hand.

But curious. Would love to see them get more than a few minutes. Seeing them play keepaway or hold the ball up at the corner flag is not that interesting.

Despite the thread title above, all the articles I've read this week, and although I've checked the schedule and broadcast listings several times today, I thought we were playing Fulham until I saw the team sheets just now.

Nice to see Sessegnon on the bench. Kid has had some shitty luck with injuries.

Blatant foul on Lo Celso right in front of the ref and nothing given

Indeed. Burnley are well organised as you’d expect but we’ve been poor. Richarlison is basically a passenger at the moment.

Johnson has been our best player so far.

You know when Ange makes some changes he’ll likely end up taking Johnson off despite being our best player

Pierre should not be sold before Skipp...

He is a massive upgrade on him.

So glad we dug that one out. Johnson was my man of the match over Porro but definitely not a great performance overall.

For me, Johnson is wasteful and his end product isn't good enough...

Don't get me started on Richi...

It's gonna be a long 6 weeks waiting for Sonny...!

Not sure what to say about that one, but nothing good other than us advancing. We battered them in the first 30', to no avail. Played measured, patient possession in the second 30', to no avail. Capitalized on an error in the third 30'...and almost managed to fuck it up.

Sure, we're depleted by injuries and other absences, but for all the chances created, that Muric didn't have a lot to do until he came up for those late corners. Almost wanted him to score, as my son whonwas watching woth me has never seen it happen in football, although he understood the principle immediately because of ice hockey.

Anyway, good to see the other Dane on the pitch, he wasn't worse than our Brazilian #9.

Agree on Johnson. Lots of near-misses = cocktease.

I don't disagree about Johnson but he's still a kid and still learning and I think it'll come. Tonight he was going past players and creating chances and actually looked lively compared to everyone else.

Apparently Ben Davies has done his hamstring.

Although Ange was asked if he could afford to lose Eric Dier if that was the case and he gave a one word answer - "Yes".
