Besides the lift he'll give the whole club (players, fans etc),imagine the fear factor & respect he'll generate in opponents.

Consequently, there will be so much more space for Kane, Son, Dele etc. Goals are comin'.

For anyone who has seen the THIC Amazon series and wonders exactly how they get inspired in the dressing room before a game....Do you think Bale will gee them up or simply be as passive as the rest of them and be worrying about how his new 5 iron will perform?

As much as I appreciate what GB did for us and hope that he can be our saviour, I'm not sure I really understand this move. We don't know if he can still play, we do know that he is constantly injured, and we'll have to pay a huge chunk of his salary which surely will piss off Kane, Son and anyone else we're hoping to keep. It smacks of desperation a la Mourinho hiring to me.

If I am wrong I will gladly eat nothing but leeks for a month.

I don’t think we need to worry. I sense the guy just wants to play football for a club that loves him.

What was his crime in Spain? That he likes golf and didn’t learn the language? The way that club’s fans treated him was a disgrace. The way Zidane treated him, even worse.

He’s an astonishingly great player and my gut says he has a point to prove.

Do you think Sonny and Kane will care that much? It’s no secret his wages are huge and it’s no secret that we pay unders compared to other big clubs. If Sonny and Kane were worried about the cash both would have left by now.. Both guys know that Madrid is paying a fair whack of Bale’s coin and that there is no transfer fee. I seriously doubt they’ll give a fuck.

Do you like leeks?

Leek and bacon quiche, a real man's dinner.

If I were Kane or Son I'd be thinking that Bale might want to be grabbing my goals and I'd rather have a creative midfielder feeding me.

That bolded bit.

I don't think it will piss them off. They know their station compared to Bale's & what he has achieved. I believe they want to win & Bale can help do that.

As for Bale & how unappreciated he has been the last few years, he'll want to show the world what he can still do. He could have gone elsewhere, probably for more money, yet he chose not to. He wanted to go where he knew he'd be appreciated & help us win something. That ultimately would cement his legacy.

There's still plenty left in that engine & his skills have improved since he left us. And then there's his experience...

For me, this is exciting.

It IS exciting...itll lift the whole club because we badly needed it. As for Kane & Son being pissed off ? With all due respect to them, fuck them. They've got to appreciate what this guy is to this club and what he's achieved in the game and they need to respect that. But I dont think there will be a problem here..in fact I think Kane would be delighted to see a guy who can sit in behind him, slipping him in with inch perfect through balls which is something he's got little or nothing of sine Eriksen left......its all good.......I hope.

Hang on a minute, who was it who refused to train back in 2013 until he got a move? I like GB, but a quick Google tells me he scored 42 times for Spurs when HK has scored 143. And if you think that Bale is going to play provider to Kane and Son rather than be the main man I think you might be disappointed.

I'll agree we needed a lift and Gareth might indeed be the one to provide it, but Harry and Sonny have been nothing but faithful servants to this club. So fuck you Dave (not really, just saying that to fit in with the hard boys on this forum).

Well I still think if Kane and Son have a problem with Bale arriving they should suck it up. They're big boys. For me, Jose has to play GB in the hole but basically be given a free role. I DO think he'll be a provider more so than the finisher.
Kane can be described as loyal, yeah.. but Son ? He's here 5 years. Bale was here 6 years before his move ? so to summarise....fuck you too man....(I'm only messing too by the way but I have to keep up the traditions).

Fuck all of you...!!

Hey, any Garerh Bale will be better than the shite were watching at the minute. If we can drag some performances out of him and inspire the team to play to their potential maybe we could attract some more big names and maybe keep the ones we have

We look deadly up front.

Son Kane Bale

But we still need someone in midfield to get the ball forward.

Not if you can just hoof it, which is what I foresee.

Overall, I've been less than enthusiastic about this deal, but I agree with those who are saying it won't unsettle the likes of Kane and Son. I just don't think he'll make much of a mark over the course of the season.

There aren't any hard boys on this forum, we're all a bunch of pansies. I don't think GB was as bad as Ratfish Boy with his stubbornness and being a cunt is probably the only way you get things to happen with Levy. Comparing goal counts with Kane is kippers and custard mate - Kane has played 6,000 more Premier League minutes of football than Bale and the Welsh bloke wasn't really a striker for most of his Spurs career was he? He was BTW our top scorer in 2013 when he scored 21 PL goals, so he ain't bad! I hope that if he does come back he will work with HK and Sonny and between them they will got bucketloads of goals - or not, who knows?

Right..... on the day it is purported the Masiah returns.... I have a few niggling questions...!!!

1. Why did he choose to come back to Spurs...? Is it because he loves Spurs, owes them something? Don't kid yourselves.
2. Why didn't he choose to go to any other club in the world who is in the CL, who does look like they've got a progressive modern team and not one thats in decline and needs a rebuild. This to me says a great deal. We loved the lad, were gonna struggle to see bad in him. Why doesn't he want to do what Ronaldo did or Ibrahimavich did and go and win other domestic honours? Are we the easy option where he can be way way closer to home (Wales) where his kids can grow up and where he can oversee the building of his golf course
3. Why only a 1 year loan?
4. If he loves us and its not about the money and he wants to play foorball, why not sign a deal for a couple of years?

Look i am excited but we're not getting that kid in the videos above.... its a very different animal in good and bad ways.

I just hope from a marketing perspective this doesn't backfire because this is 100% a catalyst.... a catalyst for a rebuild or a demolition...!!! I think this is a desperate attempt by Levy to do something because the wolves are circling...

Only time will tell if its another great escape or the final nail in his coffin.

Haha, honestly it's hard to begrudge any of us a little excitement about this team after last season.

This other guy who's supposed to be coming with him looks the business too...

I'm excited too. I've decided to be more positive about the whole thing today. Maybe DL has suddenly realized that he needs to invest in the product on the field to protect his overall investment?

The Bagel has landed...does he have to self-quarantine for 14 days now?
