STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

Although he played for France, STEEED was the original Belgium Spur. Some say, he is behind the 'Les Diables Rouges' revolution in the current squad ;)

After educating through Lyon's academy and playing 77 times for the first team, Steed began his journey in cult-hood by turning done the Gooners in 2001, in favour of a £4.5 million to a bigger club....Fulham.

Fulham fans fell in love with the mercurial Frenchman, hitting 10 goals in his debut season and being one of the star players in their famous 2002/03 UEFA cup campaign.

5 years, 211 games and 44 goals ended in a contract stalemate with the club and transfer listed. Spurs signed STEEEEED for £2 million, just before the 2006/07 season began.

Although bought for his flair and eye for goal, STEEED finished the 2007/08 season in the top 5 in the EPL for most tackles made and tackles per minute.....which says alot about the team at the time :)

62 appearances and 6 goals in 2 seasons was a decent return (we will skip the own goal, from the shot going wide against Sevilla in the QF of the UEFA cup ). Winning the League Cup as a starter was a career highlight for STEEEEED.

In 2008, the world famous 3 Amigo's of STEEEED, Chimbonda and Tainio, left the hallowed turf of Tottenham and went 'opp norf' and joined Sunderland. Then back home to France for spells with Saint-Etienne and Lyon.

Embraced by the Spurs faithful for his work ethic and tackling ability, STEEEED is this months unsung hero

There is no tribute video for this legend (only at Fulham),So here he is scoring in the 5-1 against Charlton

Was he the original Belgian at Spurs? Didn't he follow Nico Claesen, or was it the other way around.....

Among my favorite players to wear the shirt before this current crop, which features several that fit that description. As for the Belgian thing, wasn't he a French international?
