The Aussie Yid
Ok Yids, I am going to be back in London for a week or so in mid-September. I was hoping to get to Wembley but the only Spurs game whilst I am in the UK is the away game at Goodison Park on Saturday 9/9. Having only ever seen Spurs at WHL or Craven Cottage (courtesy of a mate sourcing me a ticket in the away end) I am not too sure how to go about getting a ticket for this one. So, I have some questions for you all:

1) Is Goodison Park a good joint to go as an away supporter?

2) I am a Bronze member with stuff all loyalty points (45 I think). Would I be any chance at this level of getting an away ticket for this game? If so, how do I go about this?

3) I am more than happy to pay a tout overs if I have to (your pound is in the shitter which means my Aussie dollars go far right now :D.). Will tickets to this game be available on Stubhub given it is an away game?

4) Any other tips, whether it be sourcing a ticket, best transportation options (presumably train),best watering holes for away fans in Liverpool, etc.

I appreciate any and all advice.

COYS.

Are you in the UK on 12th/13th Sept? I believe that the first game of the champions league falls on one those days.

If it's a home game, that will be a better bet.

Good luck.

Good old fashioned ground Goodison with atmosphere, stadium comfort doesnt score high, but you will be standing all game anyway!!If you get a ticket worth going def.

You will need someone to get a ticket for you no way they will go on sale to members, but thats not so bad,is it just one ticket for you?We can ask around and try and help out.Watering hole is normally the arkle a liverpool home pub but used by away fans for everton games, never seen trouble up there for this.Cheapest travel is bus if booked early, train or cadge a lift,TV picks and EL matches may move this fixture to a sunday if they are before this game?Do you do twitter or facebook?numbers of tickets exchanged on here, stubhub is finished as far as I am aware?there is no official secondary ticketing for away matches through THFC.Social media and word of mouth is the best way, firm up your plans and will try&help out if possible mate.

Been to Goodison more times than I care to count since I was about 8, @skiathospurs seems to have covered everything in his post. Apply for an away ticket with your membership but if that isn't successful I always use @hotspurtickets on Twitter to source a face value ticket and always been successful with that. I always drink in the arkles next to anfield pre match and go into town for a couple post match before the short train journey back to Mancunia. I'm hoping to go to this one too so can meet up for a beer if you're about.

Hadn't thought of that, thought the CL started later.

I am in London until 14th so fingers crossed we have a home game week one.

Just realised I fly out to Athens the day before this game so won't be going after all. Every bloody year we go at the beginning of the season...

Hi Adam , as ever Skiathos details are, spot on.
I know two mates who being STH, who will be,going they often train it, but have been known to drive.
They, should get a ticket on their ST, if not I can guarantee them 1, so they'll have first bids , otherwise I should be able to get you one....and as you're so flush, it'll be two beers over FV , rather than the normal one!! So it's just a fleeting visit back home ? Long way to come .....
pm me so I remember, I forget easily otherwise
