I need a Cruise...

Out doing the supermarket Grand Prix today, I found myself staring at the tenna for men shelves thinking..
I want to go on a cruise, not the type Dorset was famous for in Yeovil or the missile type ire has been building in his shed.
A big ass boat type that you need a white suit and hat type. I fancy the Caribbean as they speak the lingo and it’s hot.
with the pox that’s doing the rounds it’s possibility a next year thing, I need something to look forward to.
Any of you class yourself as seasoned shipmate’s that knows the front and back of these floating hotels ?

S.

oh, and prefer no kids or dipper scum onboard unless they have a long distance swimming certificate

Been on a couple--both to the Bahamas. Loved the destination, didn't like the cruise itself.

Nah, never interested me.... I like seeing shit and going places. I'd imagine I'd get myself in a world of trouble by pretending to be a pirate or thinking up ways of taking over the ship ala "captain Philips". "I AM YOUR CAPTAIN NOW"...!!!

Maybe when I'm infirmed and can't do much walking these will become a good idea.

Apparently if there are wankers on the boat who get right on your thruppnies - and there fucking would be, you are NOT allowed to throw them overboard, so that's a no from me. Me and Mrs D like to drift with the wind, go where we want and stay where we like. We planned to tour right round Australia back in 2004 and ended up spending 6 months on the journey from Sydney to Cairns, unlike the tourists who just frantically ticked off all the places they had seen, if we liked a place we would stay there for a week or three and enjoy the local area. The thought of having to stick to an itinerary or go where the boat driver decided would make me itch, and there are the type of people who go on cruises, they are not my kind of people. I don't like entertainment, I really don't like sociallising and I don't like crowded swimming pools - the last time I took a dip here was in the local bit of the med and I was the only fucker on the beach and nobody else was in the ocean, if I hadn't been there it would have been exactly the number of people I like.

does The cabin location make a deal breaker..loud at the back?

Not really, they are pretty quiet. we have had ones with and without windows, but you barely have time to be in them with every thing to do on board. Most ships will sail overnight unless you are in port for more than a day. But the parties on bard are pretty cool. last one I went on had me watching a movie on the big screen on the top deck at midnight

Only 'Cruise' I've been on was from Portsmouth to Santander with a motorbike downstairs. 24 hours was easily long enough. Food was good on Brittany Ferries, this probably bears no relationto what you're talking about - island hopping around the caribbean. Some people swear by them, I like way more freedom and being in control of my own destiny.

Of course not funny as there is loss of life and families involved but...

WFT were they doing down there ?

Indonesian officials say debris from a missing submarine was found after the vessel sank as hopes of rescuing 53 sailors on board faded on Saturday.

The items located included a bottle of lubricant and a device that protects a torpedo, Air Marshall Hadi Tjahjanto said.
