I found out today that my friend and a member of this great forum. @ParkLaneMal passed away a couple of weeks back.

I just thought I should let you guys know, as I am sure he had friends here.

Oh fuck. Nice bloke, I used to meet up with him at the Gilpins Bell before the games sometimes, he liked their grub, I liked the (cheap) beer. He was a gentleman amongst a bunch of cunts. It's a right pain in the arse getting old, gradually everybody you know fucks off, it's fucking rude really. RIP Mal.

Yeah @Dorset the Gilpin’s was his joint. Whenever I’d venture out from Australia, Mal and I would have pre-game beers there. He also dragged me across to this forum when most of us left the other place.

He was a gentleman and a Yid and I’ll miss him terribly.

Ah man that's a shit bit of news...

Mick & Mal were a terrific double act... Not sure if I met either of them back in the day or not, met a few from a time/place that no longer exists for the odd game/beer here and there...

Let's hope the lads send him off in style today...
