Jack Clarke is not getting any playing time at Leeds because the EFL rules only allow five loan players to be in a match day squad and they have six. If he ain't playing then he ain't developing - time to recall him and send him somewhere else?

he`s back to go out on loan and get game time.
Carter vickers coming back is a strange one, though he wasnt getting much game time at stoke either.Good for the club that someone pays the wage for us,but for the player development if they are not playing, waste of their life.Clarke`s only 17 CCV is older now and needs a full time club IMO.

Does Jack Clarke come into your thinking this weekend as his loan spell at Leeds has finished?
"I know it's finished but the structure is looking for another loan where he can play. In this half season he was not playing much and the objective of a loan is for the players to play. A loan without minutes is frustration loan. One is enough so the next one we must be sure is a club and a manager that really wants him to play."

According to the Sunderland forum he was in their opinion MOM today and they are very impressed and happy with his first appearance for the club.

I'd almost forgotten about Clarke. With the turmoil at that club, who knows how he'll do. They are seriously thinking of appointing Roy Keane, which seems a mistake only Sunderland would make at this point.

Quite amazing how many ex spurs players they have.

Defoe
Pritchard
Cirkin

Good that he knows a couple of lads to help him settle easier.

He did well if I remember in his first spell but I’m pretty sure he spent quite a bit having a good budget to spend.

They had some decent players like Kenweyne Jones to name one.

Interesting to see whether he will stick with punditry or get back into it again managing.

Roy Keane? Arrogant arsehole and has failed in management so why is he even a pundit?

Having a stand out season with Sunderland apparently. 9 goals and 11 assists, which is the highest in the Championship.

Seen quite a bit of them this season, and he's been excellent--among their best players, and definitely the best that's not on loan. I think he was one of those that missed out on getting a real look in under Mourinho and Conte, who aren't really geared toward working with young players. Maybe Dennis Cirkin too, who has also been good for them.

I've always had a soft spot for Sunderland. These days they play very attractive football, but honestly they might be better off by failing to win promotion this year. Their best players are very young, many of them on loan, and some of their experienced players are very likable (including Spurs academy boy Alex Pritchard) but aren't quite at the PL level. They'd either have to do a lot of business or really struggle. Saying that, it was very funny watching Millwall totally shit themselves yesterday to get Sunderland in the playoffs.

Belter. Unfortunately he was awful against Newcastle in the FA Cup, but I doubt that will cool interest in him. I read somewhere that we have a pretty large sell-on clause with him, but as long as Sunderland are within arms length of the playoff spots, they wouldn't be likely to sell. Personally, I think he'd probably be better in the PL than say Gil or Johnson, but it ain't my money to spend.
