It was illegal they had two managers....Mabbsy scored right in front of us, and not a single person was angry, everyone felt for him.

An absolute travesty that Mabbutt didn't win more England caps, kept out of the international scene by the likes of the donkey and his mate the Neanderthal man.

The barrel chested Gary Mabbutt! Total gentleman. Started off wearing the number 7 shirt and playing in midfield (I think?) when we signed him from Bristol Rovers before moving into the CB role.

He and Sir Ledley would have to be the two players I admire the most who have worn the spurs shirt in my era, both coming over there adversities (diabetes, missing knee).

I have also had a pint with him.

Gary Mabbutt "officially the nicest man in football " ,
met him outside QPR, when we'd just lost, in front of 27,000, of which I reckon 15,000+ were Yids, yet another time we were going, but failed in our title challenge......worst thing my mates who drove up, got back toooooo late to get in, so fecked off home, pre mobiles, so no way of knowing and had to find my own way home
