Bored with being stuck at home, I thought I would rabbit on about a doodah I got for my 'puter. It's called Luminar 4 and it is the very bollocks of the dog! Here's a snap of our local beach took on my cheapo phone (Xioami Mi A2 €120),I've reduced the size to save bandwidth, 'cos we are all using loads at the moment innit?

Boring!

I slapped it into Luminar 4, poked the replacement sky button and added one of the provided skies, then bashed the AI Enhance button and Bob's yer uncle!

IMG_20190822_075935_800.jpg

That would have taken me hours in Photoshop, but in Luminar 4 it took literally 10 seconds!

I am going through all my old boring photos and jazzing them up, it's fun, I am going way over the top with some of them!

This set is from a visit to the Lane - Spurs v Chelsea October 20th 2012. Cheapo pocket camera (Canon SX240 I think). Starting off with the very boring original snap.

The last one took a long time to do - about a minute! These would have been bastards in Photoplop, masking out the sky would have got right on my thrupnies, but in Luminar you just poke the Replace Sky button and it does it magically! You can then add objects into he sky like lightning, trees, moons etc. If you can be arsed you can do 'proper' editing with curves, hysterectomygrams, white balance and all that old bollocks. I don't usually recommend software, but this stuff is fucking revolutionary, fuck you Photoclop, you have driven me even more insane than I already was over the years now you can fuck off!

OK, Photoshop, I still need you, come back, I need you to cut out objects and stuff and focus stacking and a few other things, but most of my jazzing up is going to be done in Luminar 4..

Last one, you're probably bored now. This is one of the worst snaps I have ever snapped. Exposure all wrong, fecking power lines - blah!

2 minutes with Luminar, painted the power lines out with the eras doodah, ad an Ai Enhance, paint over the mask so it's only on the background, then add a LUT from the ones provided -

Caught these here with no photo/autotune messing about, well the lightening we had to run the video on the camera and go frame by frame to actually catch the bolt. Was pretty amazing in each frame seeing how it progressed. If we are still in lockdown in a month I might give it a go,but presently the IPTV box rules the roost!!

Sagrada Familia last year, I spent ages trying different camera settings trying to capture the fantastic array of colours - impossible. Compared to my Google Pixel with night sight which is an amazing bit of coding, captured these fireworks in La Roque Gageac.

Nice pix, but that is one ugly building. Me and Mrs D reckoned that the bishop was away and that Gaudi bloke knocked on the door and offered to add a few tweaks, a carving here and there, one or two statues, a couple of towers - then he went totally mental. We didn't go inside because it cost a fortune and we needed to go to the highlight of our Barcelona trip - a nice micro brewery!

As a massive Gaudi fan boy I'm going to have to disagree with you there, the outside is genius but you really missed out not going inside (assuming glass and roof were in/on) at that visit! We went to Parc Guell, Casa Battlo and Casa Mila as well, would have done more but the kids rebelled!

Gauid architecture looks like an acid trip to me, too much .... everything.

Well I am happy to talk bovis and wimpey any time!!
The burger place? yeh, we used to go there as kids, love it. I always wanted a brown derby for pudding... hmmmm... brown derby *dribbles*

Dad would regale us with tales of working at a Wimpy in Harrow, I found outa few years ago it was more like he and his mates used to go in late at night after being on the piss and the guy would let them cook their own chips!
