.. following the money like a lot of them, but apparently he's also getting this as part of his contract.

That's alongside his £1.6 million a week salary as well.

Wow, I mean... its utterly ridiculous.

However... isn't this exactly how the Premier League started...

Big money, for big players... and look how that panned out...!

Well China were trying it a few years back as well weren't they ?

I'm sure they were paying silly money for Championship and Premier League squad players and also paying them upwards of £500k a week. That collapsed after a few years, but then I suppose the Saudis essentially have infinite money though.

If Mohammed bin Salman loses interest, it all evaporates.

Utterly mind boggling .. especially this one.

"All bills for hotels, restaurants and various services during his OFF days will be sent to the club headquarters to be paid"

So £1.9 million a week and basically living for free when he's not training or playing.

You can imagine his people asking for the most random things they could think of and the Saudis saying "Sure, that sounds reasonable"

Presumably the gesture he's making in this image is meant to convey his stance on human rights matters.

He's given an interview now saying it wasn't about the money.

That's like me going into a McDonalds and saying I'm not there for the Big Macs.
