Not sure how many people watched the Grand Prix on Sunday after which Nico Rosberg was crowned world Champion for 2016. The race featured Lewis Hamilton, whilst winning, driving slower than he was able, trying to 'back' Rosberg into the chasers to wrestle the title from him, and ignoring specific team orders in doing so.

Was Rosberg a worthy world champion this year? was Hamilton ungracious in employing these tactics - described as 'dirty tricks' by Sebastien Vettel, and who is the best driver out there?

I'm not sure I like Hamilton very much as a person, but he is surely the best driver on the grid.

Cant understand the controversy about lewis driving slow.If he drove so slow why didnt rosberg just overtake him?Mercedes are so pro "german" driver, one of them would be world champion, already constuctors champions, nothing was at risk except between the two drivers, why cant they just race??

I wouldnt mind if lewis fucked off to red bull with verstappen singing two world wars and one world cup doodah, telling mercs to swivel.

Yes I thought the same during the race, Rosberg must have been nursing his car or something, he had trouble getting past Verstappen until he absolutely had to.

There's new rules next year which will argubaly make Red Bull even more competitive. If Hamilton did choose to leave he might pass Verstappen going the other way, so doubt that will happen. For the moment he's in the best car and this will blow over. He's still the fastest guy out there.

I've been getting back into my F1 (this year and last) and thought Lewis was bang on. What was he supposed to do, drive round and go oh well? He's a winner, through and through, the other cars being so inferior to Mercedes he really only had one chance once it was clear they weren't going to get near Rosberg.

Mercedes telling him to speed up so they can get their precious German World Champ in a German car, trying to dictate the race from the pit lane to their advantage GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I'm really starting to detest their attitude to everything. Rumours today they might sack Lewis!! Well I hope they try, it'll be the worst thing they ever do that's for sure, he is head and shoulders above anyone else on that grid including the constantly whinging Seb Vettel. The championship swung on two incidents, Lewis Spa gearbox penalty and the engine blow out in Malaysia, otherwise it was a bit like us at the bridge the other day - total domination unlucky result!

Then on twitter afterwards there was a storm of anti Hamilton feeling, 'not in the spirit' etc etc what a load of old codswallop, we do like to knock anyone of genuine talent in this country.

Roll on next year with hopefully Lewis in another team cruising past Mercedes and sticking it to them.

In case you hadn't realised I'm a Lewis fanboy :D

I think Rosberg was just shitting himself, we saw last year that he is susceptible to pressure, was it at the Russian GP (can't remember) he spun the car under pressure from Lewis about 2 laps from the end.

A mate of mine was mental about motors bike and car racing, fucked if I know what 'formula' it was, it was a long time ago back in the 70's or 80's - dunno really dates are all a bit blurred, but it was a long time ago. If you want t o get picky and force me to pick a year I will say 1978 all right? Are you happy now? Fuck me , I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!

Anyway back in 1978 (or whenever the fuck it was) my mate persuaded me to go with him to Brands Hatch to watch some cars going round and round, he said it would make me love motor racing - nope, I was bored senseless. I don't get the attraction of it myself, it's like going to see a game of football where the players run round on a pitch that you can only see 5% of and you only see them every 5 minutes and they make a lot of fucking noise - vroooom.

My main rememberingness of that fucking boring day was it was really hot and the tarmac where I parked my bike melted and it fell over and dented the tank, I was well pissed off, especially with a couple of wannabe bikers who come and told me my bike was on its arse, I was unpleasant to them, extremely, I was unpleasant in those days, luckily nowadays I am a kindly old granddad so you're safe - unless you are a cunt who fucks with my wheels - yeah like Mrs Dorset is going to allow me back on two wheels again!

I used to love F1 but there is way to much strategy and not enough of the true thrill of racing these days. Teams have to be to protective of their cars and the obvious health and safety factor. I prefer Touring cars now!!

Fuck Rosberg though kick in the teeth this season is the main man Jenson calling it quits. Remember being at the track in Melbourne when he won that grand prix. Great day! Watched him cross the line from the top of a bungy ball catapult! Never forget it! Wish he could have had another season in a decent car!

P.s. I Can't stand Hamilton...
