Our manager everyone ..

"I think we are in a transition phase, because yes, we are a Champions League club, but are we a Champions League club? We only qualified because we won the Europa League. We didn't qualify because we were one of the four or five best clubs in the Premier League last season. We finished 17th."

He can fuck off.

At last, some fucking honesty from someone associated with the club...

It does however, probably mean he is managing everyone's expectations with these very open shots across the bows...

Either time is very much up for him and he's cottoned on... Or there's going to be some movement or talk of movement from senior players...

Or... Both.

For me I'd rather we stared down the hard truths we face, and this is the best thing he has done in his short and as yet unmemorable tenure... Without facing the truth of the problem, we can't even consider surmounting, overcoming it and turning this fucking ship around.

I'm not a confrontational person, but if I was a Spurs player & heard him say that after the way we've been told to play, I'd agree with @ClemFandango 's last line.

It's the constant digs at the club and the fans I don't like. And it's not like he's inherited a shit team because he hasn't. If you look at last season as somewhat of an anomaly, which it probably was, the lowest we've finished in the last 10 years is 8th and we've been in the Champions League for 6 of those 10 years as well but if you listen to Frank you'd think we've been fighting relegation for most of the last 10 years before he came along.

Look, I'm not a Frank Fan girl what-so-ever, he has done absolutely nothing to warrant any loyalty from me or anyone else...

If we look at it from his perspective, walk a mile in his shoes if you like... He currently has a team who is playing like they belong in 17th or somewhere thereabouts...

If he isn't being supported or even being actively undermined by yet another fucking managerial change being muted by the club, then he should 100% speak truth to power... The fans have been doing that when they booed the shit show off the field... He should speak up and tell it how it is.

The club needs to be told to change their bullshit penny pinching half arsed ways. Getting shot of Levy and Joe is one thing but if you carry on acting like they did and don't change or modernise the approach, while every club around you are doing exactly that and leaving us behind... You will go backwards... And we undoubtedly have gone backwards.

NFL, Go-Karts, Gaga, Naming Rights, Cheese Rooms, Long Bars, Craft Breweries, Hotels, Sky Bridges...

That's what this club has focussed on with the on field product being neglected...

I welcome the criticism levied at the squad and the club... Ultimately the club are responsible for player acquisitions, ultimately the club are responsible for the strategy, ultimately the club are the ones prioritising resources and they've done a fucking woeful job of getting it right on the field for the last fucking decade...

As for him criticising the fans, were lambasting him in here ain't we... If he fires back and maybe tries to motivate his players and get them behind him as a shield... Good on him. Fergie was genius at drawing attention from players or performances by saying mad shit... Maybe he is doing that, he'd rather loose the fan base than the team because without them he has neither.

Conte, Jose, Ange and now Frank have ALL thrown a certain amount of criticism at the powers that be at the way the club is run about on field matters. Coincidence ? Nah....

We're a club who's hierarchy have underfunded the playing squad by, I'd say 30/40% in salaries compared to Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man U...and that's over a long period...yet....we HAVE to be competing with that lot apparantly.
How exactly ?....
Not to mention that we've produced the sum total of fuck all talent from our " wonderful academy "
We ARE a CL club in my opinion...we just don't have the squad, the player mentality or the proper funds in place to give us a chance....that's quite alot to put right. We need a £200/250m spend every summer for 3 summers with competitive salaries just to get up near the top table imo..
Frank is a good coach but whether he can handle this different type of attention is still up for debate...but we need PROPER investment in getting real quality in and not just paying £50/70m on decent players...I could list them, but I'd nearly be listing the entire squad with the exception of about 5.
Anyway, we could do with a result today...I'm optimistic..1-2.

I read something a while back that said that the "re-brand" from "Daniel Levy's Tottenham" to "The Lewis Family" has gone about as well as expected and they - and you - are right. I've said for a long time that if the Dark Lord ever did leave then they'd just install version 2.0 because ENIC would still be in charge of the purse strings and would still prioritise profit over on-field success.

I do wonder what it’ll take for Frank to realise that Bergvall isn’t a number 10 and never will be.

Happy to get the result and that Gray got the winner. You could see what it meant to him. Even a very good team (and we’re not a very good team) would struggle to impose themselves on Palace at their place. Nota great, or even a good game, but we did what we had to do.

Boring as batshit again but 3 points is 3 points.

Kolo Muani is wasted out wide and should be playing through the middle. He’s better than Richarlison, despite the Brazilian being on a goalscoring run lately.

We were bad... They were better overall... We notched one of our few chances, they didn't... The stats tell the story of the game perfectly... 38% possession, under the cosh for most of the game.

The bit that continues to baffle me is that when we knew we were selling Kane, we didn't actually try and find anything resembling a replacement... And never have.

While Richie will be considered unlucky for his 2 ruled out goals today, he is not the answer if your ambitions include the CL... And Solanke... Well, what is there to judge...?

I think that our lack of attacking potency is where a lot of our problems stem from... We don't occupy the oppositions defence/defensive players or make them play with any danger or haste because we don't have dangerous players in that part of the field... They then have the opportunity to set up their systems and their attacks at will, and we have to rely on our defensive players to win the ball back.

If we had better players upfront, if we had a system or players that pressed in packs and was effective at applying pressure on the opposition, the amount of possession we had would go up and therefore the rest of the stats would also improve...

They did mention on MOTD that in times like this everyone just needs to work even fucking harder... I think they're right but they also need to work smarter. They need to get their pressing right and the trigger for it right in order to stop the opposition from building their own attacks at will.

We don't seem to have that... I don't think that it's a coincidence that BJ is sidelined with his woeful tracking and work rate backwards, being a massive issue... We need serious grafters right now, turning over the ball and giving us a chance to build some attacking intent.

I'm really not a happy clapper, but the January PL fixtures are very favorable:
Brentford (A)
Sunderland (H)
Bournemouth (A)
West Ham (H)
Burnley (A)

Brentford are very good at home. Sunderland are a really good side but depleted by AFCON and struggle away. Bournemouth seem to have kind of run into a wall. Granted there's Villa at home in the FA Cup and Dortmund in the CL but this is an opportunity to get some momentum, especially if a couple of transfers come in.
