Massive London derby after a night in Europe...!!!

What could go wrong...?

Palace sitting 18th while we sit in 7th...

We need to give Dean Henderson an absolute torrid afternoon and start to really show our quality against teams in the bottom half of the table...

With players coming back from injury, (Son and Richarlson ) it really helps with the depth up front. Europa game 3 days before so will be interesting to see how the team is rotated for both games. Moore, Bergvall and Gray should be able to get some decent game time, depending how things pan out.

I guess the big question will be if Maddison will start? Personally I don't think it's any slight on his abilities that he got hooked, but we're definitely more balanced with the likes of Sarr in the midfield three.

For our next league game, I have a feeling that Ange may stick with what was successful in the 2nd half v WH.
So, at this point, start Maddison in the side with some of the regular Europa players. He needs to up his game if he wants to start / feature in the "more" important fixtures down the road.

I'd be keen to see Maddison alongside the likes of Bergvall and Archie Gray in Europe as well.

Palace suck, but they will score against us. But let's score more than them eh.

I think this could be a bastard of a game. Not sure we can do 90 minutes after a Thursday game, even with some rotation.

They're very low in confidence. Forest could've scored several tonight. Eze was the only threat and even he has been way below his best.....probably cos he didn't get to sign for us!!!

They'll huff and puff but will not accept anything less than 3 points by 2 clear goals.

I think I'd love a clean sheet... A convincing one maybe...?

You'd like to think so. At least one from Leicester and Brighton away should've been clean sheets but when we're in control of a game, Ange doesn't seem to have a plan to tuck in and keep things simple for a period when we're coming under pressure.
If you keep pressing forward against anyone in the PL, you're going to leave space and give up chances. If he can manage that aspect of the tactics, we could do very well this season.....but it's a big If.

It's not like we haven't got the players for it...

I was pleased with Sonny’s performance against the Spammers so could well start against Palace

Quite funny, this. From todays press conference.

Ange on Maddison/Richarlison penalty incident

I was happy with the outcome. We have designated penalty takers but in the moment both equally good at taking penalties. If he threw the ball to Fraser I'd be a bit more worried about it! Important thing was that we scored.

Moore would seem the obvious choice but at the same time he played Thursday for most of the match and probably likely to feature against Man City on Wednesday at some point, so maybe the expectation of starting on Sunday may be a bit much, coming off the bench for the 2nd half if things are not going well might work in our favour.

That would work. Keep forgetting about him. Another one to add to the list of the future lilywhites.

Can’t watch it again today as dealing with some family stuff but a win would be handy.

Good line up as well.
