Tottenham Hotspur have announced a post-season friendly match in Hong Kong just five days after the end of the Premier League season.
Spurs round off their competitive campaign at Hull on Sunday May 21 and have now announced that they will visit Hong Kong to play Kitchee SC at the Hong Kong Stadium on Friday 26 May, kick off 8pm local time (1pm UK time).
Kitchee SC secured their eighth top-flight league title at the weekend and it will be Tottenham's third trip to Hong Kong in the last nine years following visits in 2009, when they played South China, and 2013, for the Barclays Asia Trophy.
The latest fixture will form part of the celebration programmes of the 20th Anniversary of the Reunification of Hong Kong with the People’s Republic of China.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino said: "We are delighted to accept the invitation to return to Hong Kong to play against one of their top clubs Kitchee SC and play our part in the anniversary celebrations.Spurs' international duties do not conclude there. Once the players return from their holidays they will be competing in the International Champions Cup across the Atlantic in the USA in July.
On Saturday July 22, Pochettino's men will take on French giants PSG in Orlando, Florida, kicking off at 1am UK time, before travelling to Harrison, New Jersey to play Totti's Roma at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday, July 25 (1am again).
Then the US tour ends with a more familiar opponent in Manchester City in Nashvillle, Tennessee on Saturday July 29 (11pm UK time).
Last season Spurs played their final pre-season match in Oslo against Inter Milan, but it is believed that Spurs might try to organise a final friendly at Wembley to get further used to their new ground ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
