This popped up as my Facebook memory from 8th Feb 2012. Taken from https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11096/7493847/arise-captain-scott love the below paragraph

“It's not just the pugnacious enthusiasm that he exudes or discipline he religiously and selflessly maintains to allow Luka Modic to flourish in front of him but the respect he commands from both his team-mates and, importantly, the opposition. A couple of flashpoints that could have lit up last night were quickly nipped in the bud by Parker's reasoning presence amid snarls and bile. His quiet authority is at odds with the traditional vein-popping warped vision of what it is to be a leader in these shores but is infinitely more effective. There was a telling moment at Anfield late on when after his seventh and final clearance of the night (bettered only by Ledley King) at the expense of a corner, Modric looked at his knackered team-mate and implored with his eyes 'Look mate, I know you're dead on your feet, but we need you.' His next act was to viciously assault Luis Suarez's boot with his chest.”

I'll never forget Sunderland at home one season. When we won 2-1 thanks to a bale wonder goal. Watching Scott off the ball was a pleasure to witness. The way he read the game and could spot danger 5 steps before the ball got to him. Always said one of the best players ive watches, just his brain off the ball was incredible

I liked him but fuck me, could he run around in circles.

Good pro though and made others around him play better.

I almost got upset when I saw the title of this thread - No! Is Scotty brown bread? Nooooo!

Somebody posted a funny comment in the forum that time forgot, when JD was having his 'blood spinning' doodahs - like Scotty got his done for free every game. If that clever bloke (or ladylike) was you then repost that comment.
