Well I didn't start the Toon thread, and we still lost. So might as well start this one, and I doubt I'll be blamed as a jinx even if we do lose šŸ¤£
As always, I look forward to us playing. Whether I feel the same after ten minutes...
If Davies and Lenglet start that will make me happy, Danjuma and Richie likewise.
3 5 2 for me with Son as an impact sub.

Mason likes 4-2-3-1, which could be the way to go if we have fit enough players. Kane, Son and Deki playing behind Richarlison.

Interesting, didnt know that. Can't see that working without Emerson.
Maybe Dier RB, I'd like to see Paskotski given a chance, but apparently he's persona non grata.
I think tonight its 3 CBs but maybe Mason will work out a way to make 4 2 3 1 work. Personally would play Danjuma instead of Kulu, looking forward to the game so much

Personally I'd be dropping either Son or Deki and giving Danjuma a start.

I realised earlier on that it's highly likely that the European places will potentially go as low as 8th this year with United already having won the league cup as well as the all-Manchester FA Cup final.

The downside would be that we'd likely end up in the Europa Conference League though.

Agree about Danjuma, he deserves a start
The thing I want most from the new manager is that they take all competitions seriously and that ENIC are on board with that
I would far rather win the ECL and finish 8th next season than finish 4th and win nothing
As long as we stop buying expensive players we'll be okay with FFP

I think Mason might be a little gun-shy about going with a back four after Newcastle. It will be interesting (well, as interesting as things can get on the pitch at this point) to see if Lloris starts.

Yep, I cant see a back 4 without Emerson. Will be furious if Lloris starts, that will probably be the beginning of the end with Mason for me
Forster never should have been dropped, blatant favouritism

Iā€™m strangely optimistic about this one. Not sure why, but I think weā€™ll win. Maybe itā€™s just because football is very strange.

I'm in the same place. Nothing more concrete than 'We could, you know....' which could be said by anyone before every match, and often precedes something traumatic, but hey, ho, let's go!

Forster keeps his place, Richy starts

Forster, Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Porro, HĆøjbjerg, Skipp, PeriÅ”ić; Richarlison, Son, Kane.

Excited to see what Richarlison can do. Not even expecting goals, just want him to give their back line a terrible day.

Defend from the front 'cause we can't do it in our own box.

And thatā€™s why Danjuma should have started over Son

Been decent with the press and some small opportunities where the final ball needs to be better

Skipp missed 2 tackles and not closing down of the attacker

Also, Forster did not go full stretch

What on Earth were Poro and Romero doing? Either one could have stopped that. Holy hell.

Take injuries and lack of quality in are midfield is a major factor in our performances. Skipp and PEH are much worse than the United 3

Imagine if a Premier League proven, world class, ball playing midfielder like Christian Eriksen was available last summer.

ā€œup against the more pedestrian Dierā€ .. sums it up perfectly

Why would Julian Nagelsmann, or anybody else for that matter, take this job?

We are a rabble.
