Kane never leaves. The single most important player in our history and we sold him for £100,000,000, even though we could have made that back in Champions league revenue.

I am not a Levy hater, I have my frustrations, but appreciate what he has done for our club on The business side, but this is still the biggest mistake he has ever made.

I'd have to agree with you @Havocc

I'm not a Levy hater. Hate is a strong word, and I do appreciate what he's done for the club OFF the field. But on it is where my frustration and my general mentalness kicks in. Problem for me is, i want us to win football trophies not architectural or business ones.
Kane would be banging in 40 + goals this season under Ange. But Kane wanted to go and that's a fact. So did he make a mistake or did he get the best outcome financially for the club when he had no options left ?

Either way, that's also the pill I'd take.

What if eh....

For me, Levy's tenure as chairman / shareholder reflects the conflict between prioritizing financial prudence & shareholder profits for ENIC, & investing heavily in the squad to improve it's on-field performance. This results in the tension between business objectives & fans' desire for greater footballing success.

I too do not hate Levy as he has made us a self sustainable club. We've grown in stature through a more "organic" means rather than through blood money or cheating. It would kind of repulse me to be a Chelsea or Man City type of club where you have unlimited resources & possibly circumvent the rules in order to achieve success. Our revenue is now pouring in from numerous streams which further improves our financial position.
Unfortunately, we have yet to reap those on-field rewards (trophies; titles).

Just a thought. Wouldn't the heavy investment in top players generated from the revenue of the stadium (match day; concerts; prize fights etc) push us that much closer to being one of those clubs that ultimately "buys" success?

My version of success is to invest in our scouting system & youth / academy, grow these youth through the system & blood them into the first team while we buy 2-3 key pieces each window. Fans aside, I like what Liverpool has achieved through their model.

Pink - not interested in their failure just our success...
Black - guarantees nothing...
Green - he wanted to go...
Red - this would mean a new start, something different...

I'm tempted by red...

If we're dropping Sissoko for Moura, then I'm popping blue!

Think I'd go for black. If we'd have won the champions league, Poch and the lads might not have had that downturn and we could have risen higher instead of having that drop-off.

Ah well.

Honestly, none of these except the Levy out one would be massive game changers. And while I'm no fan of Levy, the alternatives make me nauseous.
