New faces in the side today...

The return of some old faces...

I don't have any real expectations but in truth... Utd are fucking garbage...!

We have to win this, and play well as always.

COYS.

Apparently Kulusevski is ill and might miss the game. With Lo Celso also out, we're going to be very short of creative options unless Ange ends up playing Gil in the middle or something like that.

If we can win, and we should because United are indeed garbage, then we'll be right back in the title race I think.

Here's the rub... We knew we had serious issues at CB and we addressed them...

But we also knew GLC while playing well and doing ok at being Maddison, will be injured every 3rd game and we simply can't rely on him...

The defence while makeshift were doing OK, and while Dragonlad might be the next best thing in long haired Game of Thrones inspired Centre Backs... We also desperately need creative cover in the middle of the park.

Kulu again, can do it but is 3rd choice...

I think a creative player was the more pressing need in all honesty... And I don't see why we couldn't have done both if one was available...?

Anyways this is an aside to the game, it will be what it will be, were seemingly a club who has swathes of injured players now that they're actually being asked to play football as opposed to just defend...

This is turning into a very much fingers crossed fixture.

Well there’s a turn up for the books..

Apparently Maddison is expected to be named in the squad tomorrow. I’ll believe it when I see it but it’ll be a massive boost.

Is Kulusevski ill? There’s a rumour doing the rounds.

Apparently he is, but he's still only "doubtful" for tomorrow.

Although saying that, someone has snapped a video of him, Romero, Werner and Dragusin in Manchester tonight.

Do you just fire Dragu straight in there see what he's about? We might not have any choice to be fair.

United are shite but this is where we see what we're about. Still missing key players and this really puts space between us and the rest of the pack.

We're on a great trajectory though. I remember a few years ago we were having a wonder season and a few of my mates were doing nothing but gurn about United yet when I looked at the table they were only a point behind. We're now doing that to Arsenal. They have had near a full squad all season while we've been plagued.

That thread was legendary.
A blast from the past.

I completely agree with what you were saying about creative cover, but it’s going to be very hard—maybe impossible—to find that kind of player that would also be willing to take a secondary role. It’s why I’ve said for a long time that I’d take Eriksen back in a second if he was on offer. The way we play, it’s almost worse not to have a proper #10 or creative #8 than it is to play with no CBs.

On the other hand, among a lot of other things, Big Ange is proving to be quite good at chopping and changing under pretty tough circumstances.

The band is back together .. Romero starts alongside Mickey with Porro and Udogie giving us our first choice back line in some time. Werner starts up front with Dragusin on the bench.

He’s going to need some cuddling from Ange. Totally bereft of confidence. Unsurprisingly we’re lacking in cutting edge, but I think we’ll get back in it in the second half.

Well in this yet....important we just keep at it. 2 poor defences, we just have to be better second half.
