Hope he’s as good as we all want fairly quickly and doesn’t need the bedding in period.

Hasn’t worked out quite so well for the last 2 black, French players starting with N...third time lucky eh?

Good luck Tanguy, go for it mate

Think this is going to be a top signing for us, young, hungry, and good to go, in my opinion. A real top quality addition to the team.

The actual pronunciation phonetically of Ndombele's name is Ton-gee Dom-bellee.

Welcome to our great club.

Welcome. If you can play as hard as Sissoko but have even 50% better final product you will be an absolute bargain! Anything above that and we will e singing your name for years to come.

Mate in my eyes you simply have to play like I would in that shirt. I dont mean like he has some type of spasmodic loss of control of his limbs or some shit like that, I mean in terms of passion.

Looking back over recent years theres been a few. Chimbonda, Palacious, parker, Dier, Kane, Winks..... love the little tenacious bastards who will bleed for it.

Tanguy Ndombele on Mauricio Pochettino: "It's hard to describe but he knows how to touch, to mark people. He looked me in the eye and said "come with me and I am sure I will help you progress". That kind of thing made me want to sign. I saw that he really wanted and liked me I watch lots of football so I knew [the club]. I watched at the time of Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov. I spoke to Moussa, Hugo. They said "Come, we've got a great team. Pre-season starts on the 12th - you have to be there!" "

I believe we have bought another Sissoko style player. I believe this can work very well when they play together. 2 good tacklers, 2 very energetic players, 2 players who like to drive forward..... 2 players who do not score 😬. Tanguy does however have a better shot than Sissoko.

I like that Sissoko and Tanguy will both be starting 11 for France in the coming season once they start destroying boys in the prem. I like that dynamic like Toby and Sir Vert. Playing side by side getting that understanding of each other.

Very good signing I reckon. Now to hold on to the rest and maybe bring in one more.

I agree... we need something to replace/help The Dane... I dont understand where Dele fits in all this I though he was a creative goal scoring player?

Winks is a bit of everything, a midfield utility man. Dier is the back up destroyer/makeshift CB/utility player who can fill most gaps on the pitch.

Do we play with wingers? Nope not really. Wing backs bombing round and giving us width... yep, but again we could do with upgrades on both sides especially if that rag shit post USspur posted has any truth and were selling both Trips and Rose...

Interesting summer ahead and I'm buzzing we've moved early. Like to see some more arrive and show were serious about pushing ourselves forwards.

Dele needs to get his head fully in the game and put all this Boohoo men and clothing ranges bollocks in the back burner for a while.

Personally I'd keep Rose and Trips. If trippier was indeed carrying an injury all season, then surgery and a summer off could create a new player this season. Rose I only see going if we bring in Sessegnon. Maybe all this speaking out malarchy is doing Pochs head in.

Interesting summer ahead indeed.

I would entirely not be comfortable with Sess as one of our main full backs next season, especially if we're playing a flat back four. Imo we need two proven PL quality ones.

He's barely played as a full back for Fulham second half of the year. He was either a left midfield or a forward.

It sounds like we're looking to keep Davies on, and if Rose moves on and we sign Sess... I still think we need another top quality left back.

With regards to the other post about him and Sissoko, I really hope playing them side by side can work... one thing I like about Ndombele from what I've seen is he is a little more devastating in through balls, which should hopefully work nicely with Dele and Kane, and give a license to one of the two to roam, which should make marking that midfield quite tricky.

I actually wonder if in certain games we're actually going to play a DM behind a pairing of Sissoko and Ndombele. I know it sounds a bit mad, but it means we can play more aggressive full backs, and the DM almost sweeps behind the main CM pairing, giving them a bit more freedom to break forward without worry. If we're playing more wing backs, certainly could see the argument for Sess then, as some of his defensive duties are shared.

I think in games where we need a bit more steel down the middle that might work, and if we can use Ndombeles ability to transition from defence into a counter attack, feeding Son/Kane/Dele... that could be pretty interesting

Thought he had a tough first half, an ok first half of the second and after his goal he calmed right down. Was like he was trying too hard.

Had a few real nice interchanges with Eriksen.

I think once Eriksen came on the team look much better balanced which helped Tungay, Sissoko, Lamela, and Kane. We look med much better when he came because of that.

One of my kids remarked early on that he looked very nervous in the first half. Guess that's to be expected. He looks the real deal though.

I think the whole team got a bit jittery when we went a goal down,or maybe lost a bit of composure is a better way of saying it?

Poch said it was his fault, the team was 'confused', I think he means the formation and their roles didn't work. He changed it in the second half and off we went. Bit lucky to avoid a penalty, same situation as Aubamayang last season.

Poch says it could take two years for Tanguy Ndombele could need up to two years to show his best form for the club.. That's a bit pony Why does it take so long for players to be ready in a Spurs side? Chelsea have 4 players 21 and under in their first team squad, they seem to be doing well. What is the point of buying a player who is 'not ready'? I get it if they are really young, don't cost much and have top potential, but paying £63m(?) for a player who is two years off being an asset seems a bit dumb. It could be just the Poch doing a bit of headology and he will be 'ready' next week, that would be nice. If not then what will the team look like in two years? Toby, Jan and Christian will definitely be gone, Sonny and Harry K will be hard to keep hold of if we fail to get Champions League footbal and Lucas might be getting the hump sitting on the bench, he is too good for that. I am sure there is a long term plan, I am worried that the plan is purely driven by financial considerations. The Pochetino project may have failed or stalled, I hope not, but if it has then it might be hard to persuade him to start over again, especially now he knows how much support he will get from Levy.

From what I've seen, he already looks 'ready' and has been one of the better players this season. I'm not sure if Poch is having a bit of brain fart and feels a bit confused at the moment. This is based on several things - it appears we don't know our best XI, or our best shape and he's making a few weird defensive comments, I wonder if the CL final and not having won anything is getting to him and he's trying to hard? let's see where we are at Christmas.

I think he does need to acclimatise. And by acclimatise i obviously mean loose some timber and get "Poch" fit.

He is way off the pace in terms of how he gets about the pitch imo but he does have absolute ability on the ball and I do.see glimpses of the old Moose when he gets on the ball.

I genuinely think with a Sisoko engine in him he is an absolute worldie who could go out and win games on his own.
