We used to have some poor teams whilst they were strong though. They're not that bad, just averagely coached and no-one seems to have much desire. None of that matters come sunday at 4.30pm though. We need to go at them 100% every ball, second ball, tackle, you name it for the full 96 minutes. Absolutely relentless, then an easy week to R&R......(assuming we've beaten LASK this Thursday. Then Covid Palace and 3 more points hopefully and we stay top for a fourth week. Am I getting ahead of myself......

Don't know why just comes into me head.....anyway I'd say in a slightly shouty way, loking directlly into everyone's eyes 'go at them immediately, and stay going at them for the full 95 minutes, give them no space.....anywhere, press from the front and suffocate them from the first second. Come in at half time having left nothing out on the pitch, rest, re-energise and then we go again. This game is about proof, prove to them, to the club to the fans and most importantly to yourselves that you are best not only here in North London but in the whole country and that's why we are top of the league. If we play with intensity and desire, we'll win. I just don't know if we play that way anymore. This is going to be a big emotion game and we are rarely emotional. My brain says we're better and we'll win 2-0. My gut isn't quite as confident.

I understand the sentiment, but having now taken a step back from Thursday night and realised that we are top of the league, I'm not going to slag off the deficiencies just yet. We're on a higher plain now and have a strong squad. Let's see how it all develops until we've played 20 odd games and played every other team. Admittedly the football isn't great to watch but recent games have been tricky and perhaps players like Doherty are still suffering from the Virus. Certainly it looked like most were last night.
