Reading around, the feeling seems to be that there's definitely a player there but that it will need the "right" manager to unlock that potential. A few people seem to think that it started to go south for him when the Chelsea fans turned on him.

I'm hopeful. If it works out, it will almost certainly spell the end for Richarlison though. We're not going to sell Sonny, not that he'd want to go anyway, so I could certainly see Richy moving on.

Given his success under Nagelsmann's system & its similarity to Ange's, it may just be a perfect storm for Timo & he can hit the ground running. He's got a manager in Ange who wants him, likes him, & believes in him. That gives a player so much confidence.

I hope he hits the ground running & becomes an even bigger player here.

Welcome lad, show all the doubters wrong and smash in the goals...!!!

If he works his arse off, same way Bobby Soldado did and keeps putting a shift in, the Yids won't get on his back too much.

As I said before, he's got something to prove & that is that he can flourish in the PL. Chelsea was an anomaly. Lampard failed him in not utilizing Timo properly by playing him to his strength as the main man through the middle. Tuchel tried but by then the Chelsea fans turned against Timo along with his confidence being shot.

He wants to get into his NT's side. That's a major motivator.
He feels our system under Ange suits him & it will help him win his way back.
His best seasons were under Nagelsmann who is now the German NT coach. He'll know what he is capable of & will be watching intently to see if he gets his groove back.

If he gets on that NT, a by product of that will be that he bagged goals for us.

Timo would score 50 in the MLS. That's how bad it is
Yeah I'm seen no real value in signing him... I think he is shot to bits confidence wise... You can see he is timid in how he plays, it's equally frustrating and sad...

I see & sense a bit of a renaissance in him. Confidence is paramount & slowly but surely he's gaining it back.

I think he stays permanently full of confidence from a great last 11 games (helping us to win the league or at least above woolwich). Next year he continues to improve and gets back into the german XI

Or you’re just a bit of a front bum.
Pretty sure that's a condition for forum membership.

I'm actually quite optimistic about Werner. Much will be revealed in the run in though.

Werner out for the rest of the season, effectively bringing his loan deal to an end.

If he's willing to be a squad player next season, I'd certainly have no issue with signing him for the price offered.

Yes, he'd be just fine as a squad player. Honestly a decent player, but almost totally lacking in end product. And disappointingly he really showed no signs of improving on that front this season.

At his age, I'd think he'd be looking to be part of a starting XI, which he probably won't be at Spurs or at Leipzig for that matter.

Sorry but you're settling for a Levy cheap and cheerful player here...

We know he has no consistent end product and isn't good enough to get into any of the top 4 sides...

Why would we sign him unless it was last knockings...

I guess there's that. FWIW I don't think he'll be back next season. I could see him somewhere like Palace if he doesn't go back to Germany

Fulham, Watford, maybe a promoted team where he'd potentially get a lot more starts...

He shouldn't be our first choice option, he is no where near productive enough... Although at least we acknowledge his presence... I mean we're discussing him... The THFC hide and seek champion 2024 is garnering absolutely zero column inches because he is a complete enigma...!!!

He didn't do too bad at all. I think Palace would be chuffed if we handed them an experienced quick player like Werner in exchange for a very raw inexperienced fella, oh thingy, what's his name.....something...Eze I think ?

We'd be doing them a favour tbh...

Take it Palace...its a good deal!!

I could see him at those sides but also Palace or even Leeds.
The latter could very well lose Summerville so Timo could fill in nicely.
