So who do you fancy for the drop and more importantly who will get CL,(or win the title),and which new boys will push for top 6.Some strong contenders for what hopefully will be a couple of mini leagues A) for top 4 and B) 5th/6th and european football of some sort. Some new challengers to maybe not get top 4 but 5th and 6th.I wont name names here in the OP,but try and keep it your top 4 and the 5th-8th doesnt have to be in a particular order, more who you think is in the mix in these 2 mini leagues. Also your 3 for days in the championship next season.

Top 4; (in no order)
Tottenham,City,Liverpool,chelsea

5th-8th
Man utd,arsenal,leicester,wolves

Hard to leave out everton, perhaps west ham who are spending again but the 2 midlands clubs look well set to improve again this year?? My heart says if they dont improve their defence big time, the goonies could drop european football all together, they are some what the mess squad wise, just not sure wolves, leics have enough belief to be consistant enough to jump either united or arsenal, their 1st XI should be able but depth??

I reckon there's a lot of transfer water to pass under a lot of bridges yet. if Leicester lose Maddison and Maguire, they're nowhere. Wolves were great, but may have been found out in terms of style, hope they do well again and I've always liked Everton - if only they could get off to a decent start and have some belief. That squad is getting a bit old though. I hope Chelsea and the Scum fail and without Hazard and lampard at the helm, I can see Chelsea doing exactly that - not initially but later in the season with a few injuries. Would prefer United to make the 4th spot, but think they're in a mess, relatively speaking.

Can't see past Sheff Utd. going up and down and probably Norwich as well, might even be the full set with Villa, but southampton have got away with it for too long now. Newcastle and Palace are a good shout for the drop but their home form should save them. Don't discount Watford and Burnley, it's going to be a scrap this year amongst about 6-7 teams again for the drop I would imagine. Mike Ashley at Newcastle is a total disgrace amongst football owners in my view.

Top 4 - Spurs, City, Liverpool in no order.
4th - United
5-8 - Leicester, Arsenal, Everton, Wolves in no order.

Chelsea will be mid-table. Their only half decent player just fucked off, Pulisic is overhyped and they can't buy anyone.

Relegated - Newcastle (a complete rabble),Sheffield United, Norwich.

I think why i dont see chelsea falling too far too soon,is really they lost hazard but have kovacic and pullisic,I think they may be more of a team than with Hazard, good as he was.I just think they maybe close to running on empty, but still have enough in the tank this season (sadly).
Though I would truly love to see them struggle,i still think they have much better players than arsenal and more settled than united, but it could be all 3 go off the cliff this year.🙏

Well maybe leicester??or wolves though maybe teams will have sussed them out now?cant see everton improving without spending, not least on a striker,if they had a 20 goal man, perhaps? Its why i think chavs will squeak 4th,on paper they are still strong and lampard its too unknown if he will hit or miss?I honestly cant see arse bothering the scorers their back 6 is awful, and man utd i dont think ole can handle it,though their best bet is £100m + for pogba and a rebuild of sorts.

Its all pie in the sky,4 weeks of transfers left (unless you are chelsea!),I think city, liverpool and hopefully us are too established as teams for the moment to be caught without huge overhauls at the other 3 so called big clubs.

The scum were 1 point above and below us..... there is literally nothing separating our teams.

Yes chave loose Hazzard, but we loose the Dane.

For me it's all about who we or they add.

The team philosophy for us will stay the same, Chavskis has to change due to a new manager.

Arseanal have consistency as we do.

Are the loosing anyone of importance.... dont think so, so you'd assume they will only get better with new additions.

It's way too close to call and it could all come down to luck. However making the right signings early and bedding them in early will be key to achieving consistency and picking up the sway points that make the difference after 39 games.

If we dont have all our ducks lined up for preseason then were already on the back foot and will loose pace on someone.

Pay the money, get the players, build the legacy.

Lets not forget we had mountainous injury problems and tiredness after the WC,played at wembley 80% of the season, sold our most important DM mid season, one cup semi final, one cup final to add to or fixture pile up on top of our injuries. The way I sse it mate is especially the south london scum, they missed a trick,we wont be so flimsy this season,we have already added to the squad, they have lost or released ramsey, welbeck, cech, ospina, lichtensteiner and more importantly not sold mustafi, holding, monreal,,xakha.Fact is Emery is as fucking daft as wenger, trying to buy zaha and ignoring the fact at the back proper shite remains.I dont fear the scum at all.

As for the west london scum, losing half their goals will hurt, but still have a very sold team except up top.I mean Ross Barkley isnt all that,he doesnt and wouldnt walk into chelsea and our team, yet he would at arsenal.

I agree pay the money get or keep the players and that lot shouldnt catch us again.

And judging by what Swiss Ramble said, Arsenal probably don't have the budget for big outlay. An interesting predicament.

Top 1: THFC, don't give a shit about the rest.

Chelsea will likely get off to a flyer behind Fat Frank and a bunch of loan recalls, then fade (I like Kovacic but he was very average last year, Pulisic expectations way too high). Arsenal will score a few with their 2 forwards, but luckily Mustafi and Sokratis will score more own goals.

Palace (no Zaha),Brighton (no Chrissy Hughton) and Burnley (just because I hate them) to go down.

Fuck it. Balls deep...

1. Tottenham - stronger midfield and stronger mentality and a summer off.
2. City - Aguero.. nuff said
3. Liverpool - will pick up some injuries this year, and realise they haven't enough depth.
4. Chelsea - put kante in the right place and they have a decent team.
5. Arsenal - decent attacking threat
6. Leicester - gradually gaining a good squad
7. Watford - decent squad. Better manager than united
8. Man U - not as good a manager as Watford. Turnip team.

Hmm, I hate to have to rank us but I guess that's what's required, eh?

Top 4:

City
THFC
Liverpool
Chelsea

Arsenal
United
Wolves
Everton

For some reason I am not sold on Liecester and I don't know if Watford can sustain what they did last season. But I wouldn't be surprised if either finished top 6.

For the drop:

Burnley (it's been coming for two seasons)
Newcastle (I actually feel bad for their supporters. They deserve better)
Sheffield (didn't know who else to pick, and Norwich have a knack for staying up a few seasons)

Or they've thrown a big pile at the impending doom of not having CL again in hope of getting it.

If it doesn't pay off they could be in biiiig trouble.

Would you want it to be us finish 4th piping them to the spot with a last minute VAR penalty...........?

I want to finish 1st but that scenario would be fucking SWEEEEET...

Or, or, or...... How about we were top and already champions and playing Wolves who needed a draw to get 4th and they would finish 5th..... and our youth team gave away a peno in the 97th minute of injury time to snatch it away from them...... Yeah, I like that one better.... I quite like Wolves too.

Or, or, or..... They lost out on goal scored due to us having a 6-6 thriller with whoever was in 4th.....

I need to get on with some work...

I done did some of them there stats doodahs. I likes stats I does. Based on each team's last 15 match results, goals scored, points, goals conceded - 15 is an arbitrary number of matches that has no significance, well it odes a bit because I tried many variations and 15 worked the bests compared to other seaons, not after just 3 matches into a season of course, but you have to start somewhere. I did some farting around with the stats for the promoted team to give them a fair'ish weighting against Premiership results - I used proper maffs for that.

The results are horrific. If we don't improve in the PL, we get relegated! Of course we will, we have to - don't we ?

Top 4 - City, Dippers, Scum, Chavs
Relegated Spurs, Brighton, Watford

Sours is about ficking right right now...

All the shit I am reading about Spurs is fucking depressing and so out of character.

It's like stepping back in time a decade to the bad old days...

COYS, we need to break this cycle!!!

I'm sure it will get better, we just need a nice run of 5 or 6 wins, starting with the goons then everything will be back on track - we do need to break the cycle and it would be nice to start on Sunday. The goons and united won't as shit as they were last year and gift us another CL place so we have to take it. This is the defining season for Mr Poch I think, turn this bollocks around or he's off, either sacked or walking. I don't want that because I think he could become a legend, but no shineys and no CL position this year and it could be all over.

Yay! With that point today we have moved out of the relegation zone in my Mystic Meg Final Position Predictor. We are now sitting pretty in 15th spot. The goons and the chavs have been kicked out of the Champions Leagues spots, replaced by Leicester and Everton. When we thump Palace in two weeks we will climb further up the table.

We have got tow of our toughest games out of the way now. We have only won 2 of the 28 Premier League games we have played way against the goons, we have done better against City, 10 from 23, but most of those games came before the dirty money built the 'new City'.

I don't think there is a realistic hope of challenging the Dippers and City, but we are only 2 points off 3rd. It is very early days and hopefully today's performance against the scum will kick start the comeback. 16 points from 16 PL games, we have to sort that bollocks out and I think we will.
