Tottenham Hotspur are facing serious allegations of breaching transfer rules during Jermain Defoe's move to Portsmouth in 2008

This could be apparently be serious if there’s anything of substance to the allegations.

I know no action was taken at the time but I’d assume that the review means new evidence has potentially come to light ?

If we've done wrong... we should get punished.

Additionally if that is the case:

1. we need to start spending some money now to see us through a transfer ban.

2. This could be the lever/mechanism to see Levy removed from the chairman's seat.

3. I'd like to think that Man Citeh and their potentially "over a thousand" breaches of rules would be much higher on their priority list.

4. Who was the hack journo who dug this shit up and why?

5. We can't be the only ones so if this is widespread, the practice needs to be assessed and the consequences proportionate.

6. Please sort out (get rid of) V-A-FUCKING-R first.

If this 👆 is indicative of the case... I am happy that Spurs and Pompey have kept quiet as its clear that while something nefarious may have taken place, the FA have not managed it correctly and this agent feels like he had his pants pulled down over the Defoe deal...

If wrongdoing is uncovered, then fair doo's face the punishment.

But the onus is on the FA to provide the evidence.

The FA have now confirmed they are looking at the case.

Football is so depressing at the moment. But fuck it, if we did wrong, we should be punished. I imagine we're going to see a whole raft of stories like this over the coming months after the Everton punishment was handed down.

I expect City will be punished severely, I'm expecting at least a raised eyebrow or even a wagging finger pointed in their direction. Pep says the crimes City committed are different, they cannot be compared to Everton, even though he doesn't know anything about the financial skullduggery. Football is riddled with corruption, it's just like the fucking government, but with so much money involved, fuck-all will ever happen to clean out either of those cess pits.

FA and Premier League trying to do their best to show they don't need independent regulation, but they are just making it worse by punishing Everton and leaving City and Chelsea alone.

As for us, we need this as our defence:

Basically, when Arsenal did it in 2005, it was a £10k slap on the wrist as a misdemeanour.

Also, if we are going back 15 years, how about 104 years ago to when Arsenal were corruptly voted into the first division after finishing 6th in the second...

Lol, if we get punished for this then they should just relegate the entire Premiership. I mean, an unregistered agent got some cash? Ya don't say! Welcome to European football, Mr. England! But if it gets Levy banned I'm all for it.
