Back during Sven Goran Erriksen's reign as England manager, the team had just lost a close match at home, so naturally Sven is rather unhappy. He strides into the dressing room, ready to give his players a stern lecture, when he suddenly slips on something and falls on his ass. Looking over at his feet, Sven is horrified to find he slipped on a big wet pile of human feces, and it's all over his shoes now.

"Who's shit on the floor?!" Sven screams angrily.

"Me," says Emile Heskey, raising his hand, "but I'm not bad in the air!"

Lets fucking go!

The way I feel at the moment, I'm probably going to give this one a miss.

After how flat we were on Thursday, I don't expect a repeat.
I'm more optimistic*.

Optimist = simply put, has hope
Pessimist = an optimist with experience ;)

Is this Ange’s last stand?

I wouldn’t agree with it but I do think he will be sacked if we get turned over.

I did wonder if he'd get one final chance in the Europa League but the first matches of the last 16 are a month away on the 8th of March and we've got United, Ipswich, City and Bournemouth between now and then which, on current form, would see at least one or two lossess and a drop back down to 16th.

I think if there's a similar level of performance and lack of fight tomorrow then I do think it'll likely be the end.

I think we will stick with him until we either win or get knocked out of the europa league.

What's the point in sacking him...?
The only thing I could think of is his training methods / game strategy are leading to the injuries. Manager changes, less injuries with different training sessions / less intense games and get back to full force more quickly.

This has been my thinking for a while as well. He's made no secret of the fact that he doesn't adjust training to try and mitigate the physical condition of the players and there's that (in)famous interview he gave when he was managing Celtic where he said it was "not possible" to protect players from injury with the way he wants them to train.

Look back at the last 4-5 managers we've had. Have we ever had anything close to the injuries we've had with Ange ?. Even with Poch's aggressive high pressing we never experienced this.

Even if it was Mason to the end of the season, it might be enough of a sea change to turn things around.

Ange mentioned they haven’t been training hard because of the schedule. So sacking him won’t change that area at all.

Villa away would be a tough tie with all our players fit.

After the League Cup defeat I think it depends on the performance as much as the result. Honestly don't think the dark lord is eager to get rid.

On a much brighter note in the FA Cup, brilliant to see the dippers get deservedly beaten at Plymouth.

It’s like McGinn and Tielemans are playing through training cones.

Can't believe we're still in the game. One down at HT is a result. We need a spark from somewhere....fuck knows where though..

Danso doesn’t seem comfortable stepping into a high line, and there are acres of space behind midfield. Ange has to get this organized at the half. Saying that, we were rubbish against them in the first half last time IIRC. I’d put Sonny on the left and Tel at CF. Looks like he can hold up play a bit better.

But we're not even organised!!!!A well organised, well drilled league two side would be harder to play through. It's not good enough.

Strange to say it given their first was a howler, but Kinsky has kept the scoreline respectable.
