I did read something to that tune just over a week ago. It was suggested that the 'higher ups' saw some of the recent performances as 'disastrous' and that his misuse of players was contributing to the problem.
I suppose the only thing that will save him is that we're 17 points clear of the bottom 3 with just 10 games left to play so it's highly unlikely we'd get sucked in to a relegation battle.
But then I suppose the other thing that could work against him is that there's probably still the tiniest of outside chances we could still get European football next season. Even if we appointed Mason (or whoever) until the end of the season, the stereotypical 'new manager bounce' might spark a run of results that could see us fall over the line maybe.
It does seem strange how the club have stood so steadfastly behind him when he's statistically our worst ever manager.

Think Ange is a dead man walking tbh. I'd say Levy will pull the trigger if or when we get knocked out of the EL....my worry is...who'll want to replace him ? Frank ? Iraola ? Probably not...

I basically agree with this, also because every manager thinks they can be the one to turn things around when others couldn't. But we have been snubbed by some pretty good ones in recent years--Arne Slot being the toughest one to swallow given what's happened.

Yeah, Slot turned us down...but so did Nagelsmann, Rodgers, Ten Haag, Fonseca and Allegri.
It'll be someone with nothing to lose or someone not in a job. Anybody worth their salt won't want to work with Levy.
If I'm Levy, there's only one appointment that'll get most fans off his back and restore hope...and that's Poch. And not only appoint Poch, but give Poch the real tools to compete for CL football.
Will it happen ? Will it fuck....
