Reading that Solanke reported to the stadium but complained of feeling unwell so that’s why he’s out.

Not to second-guess, but I honestly wouldn’t have minded starting the game with Lankshear up top with Solanke out. But yeah, not much could be done (other than bringing on Deki) to really put our stamp on the game.

Wasn't the worst performance in the world I suppose. I would be looking to rest Deki again on Thursday as he'll be far more valuable starting against the Chavs next weekend.

Clearly playing twice a week is too much for this lot. They looked leggy.

Not sure why Timo was subbed. He was the only attacking player who even looked like doing anything and his chip to Johnson for the goal was superb.

Sonny shouldn’t be starting too many games from here on. He’s lost the yard of pace that allowed him to get away with that dodgy first touch of his. He’s been a wonderful player but he’s an impact sub these days.

Davies and Forster were very good. Sarr good. Bissouma and Maddison both very vanilla in this one.

3. The atmosphere is generally gash! Been to 3 games at the new stadium, and the atmosphere was appalling but tbf, most home grounds in the pl are pretty quiet, barring the odd big game or a European night. Football’s becoming a bit soulless.

Levy has made the place a tourist attraction, rather than a football stadium for the legitimate fan. It’s nice and shiny and comfortable but it’s not as much fun as the old joint.
