A duck walks into a pub and orders a pint of beer and a ham sandwich.

The bartender looks at him and says, "Hang on! You're a duck."

"I see your eyes are working," replies the duck.

"And you can talk!" exclaims the bartender.

"I see your ears are working, too," says the duck. "Now if you don't mind, can I have my beer and my sandwich please?"

"Certainly, sorry about that" says the bartender as he pours the duck a pint. "It's just we don't get many ducks in this pub. What are you doing around this way?"

"I'm working on the building site across the road," explains the duck. "I'm a plasterer."

The flabbergasted bartender cannot believe the duck and wants to learn more, but takes the hint when the duck pulls out a newspaper from his bag and proceeds to read it.

So, the duck reads his paper, drinks his beer, eats his sandwich, bids the barman good day and leaves.

The same thing happens for two weeks.

Then one day the circus comes to town.

The ringmaster comes into the pub for a pint and the bartender says to him:

"You're with the circus, aren't you? Well, I know this duck that could be just brilliant in your circus. He talks, drinks beer, eats sandwiches, reads the newspaper and everything!"

"Sounds marvelous," says the ringmaster, handing over his business card. "Get him to give me a call."

So the next day when the duck comes into the pub the bartender says, "Hey Mr. Duck, I reckon I can line you up with a top job, paying really good money."

"I'm always looking for the next job," says the duck. "Where is it?"

"At the circus," says the bartender.

"The circus?" repeats the duck.

"That's right," replies the bartender.

"The circus?" the duck asks again. "With the big TENT?"

"Yeah!" the bartender replies.

"With all the animals who live in CAGES, and performers who live in CARAVANS?" says the duck.

"Of course," the bartender replies.

"And the tent has CANVAS sides and a big canvas roof with a hole in the middle?" persists the duck.

"That's right!" says the bartender.

The duck shakes his head in amazement, and says: "What would they want with a plasterer???"

Lets Fucking go!

Flying over for this one.

Not sure if I'm quietly optimistic or fearing the worst, just yet!

Meeting Don Diaz for a pint before hand if anyone's floating around and fancies a beer. I'll be having a few after n all.

Enjoy the game Glennie. It should be quite a match.
Please say a big "Hello" to Don for me (us?).

I'm not sure how I feel about this one . On one hand we are taking on C$teh just as they are getting some of their best players back from injury . But we are getting some of our best players back from injury at the same time . Not counting the cup exits we're on a 3 game winning run in the league , so hopefully we can make it 4 wins on the spin . We have Djed Spence who's a revelation ATM , with Bergvall and Gray also playing really well - both unbelievable and only 18yrs old . Vicario is back between the sticks and sharp as ever . Danso and Tel have fitted in well with the squad after such a short while . Obviously I want us to win convincingly , but would take a 1-0 Tottenham win should it be a tight game . The midfield will be where this game is won or lost , and I'm hoping the fact that Rodri is still injured we might just be good enough to come out winners . Pep Guardiola said after losing a game that it's difficult to expect the same players to play after just 3 days , Big Ange said try doing that for 3 months . People don't realise how hard it's been for our squad over the last 3-4 months with up to 11 players on the treatment table throughout . I'm looking forwards to the game , I'll be there chanting and singing trying to be the 12th man . Up the SPURS

They were just dismal against Liverpool, but that may have had as much to do with the opposition as anything else. As I said somewhere else, I'm not sure there could be a result in this game that shocks me, other than a nil-nil.

Only 4 points separate 4th-10th which is ridiculous. A win tonight at we'd be 10 points off 4th with 11 games games left.

It's a bit of a pipe dream but a late charge and who knows ?.

Also a win will mean we'd have done the treble against both Manchester sides in a single season.

League double over them would be nice...

Remember we beat them to fuck when they had all their players...

Spence, and perhaps more surprisingly, Sonny, on the bench:

Probably just rotating them in general I guess, I mean, that's a week away. If you'd told me a year ago that Spence and Son wouldn't be starting, and that Spence would be the more surprising of the two omissions, I'd have needed a lot of explanation.

Obvs. Going all out for Europa, which is not a bad thing in the grand scheme of things.

Bentancur has won 3-4 brilliant tackles already

Danso has been caught out 2 or 3 times now when we lose the ball.

And as for Brennan Johnson, unless it is served up on a silver platter for him he is a complete waste of space.

Doku is destroying Porro....the game could be done already....but on the bright side...
Archie Gray is the best young prospect I've seen in years. He reminds me of Franco Baresi tbh...

It’s so simple but both their wide men are embarrassing our FBs. They’ve been excellent to be fair but we have to get pressure on the ball and help in the wide areas.

Deki absolutely shredded Gvardiol last time. He has to come on for the tap in merchant.

This is high praise indeed. My dad always used to say “watch Baresi, he never has to sprint.” Gray definitely has that same kind of elegant demeanor on the pitch.

Also, if anybody still fails to see the value that Solanke offers is missing the point. Tel, as much as he is young, offers precisely nothing as a hold up option.

We’ve been poor today but still very much in it. Need a little physicality in the forward line. Definitely Deki time.
