My hope is that Labour do enough to fuck the Tories into oblivion for a long time and that that gives Starmer a chance to bring the situation under control and to start to bring shit back round to a more centrist/centre left alignment. My politics go back to the 60s and 70s when we had a decent Labour government under Wilson and Callaghan
I was a Trade Union activist and met Jim on a few occasions and he was a decent man.
Then things started going to shit and we got Thatcher
Couldn’t get any worse could it?
It could and we got Major!
Very hopeful when Blair got in but he let a lot of people down by his stance in the Iraq War along with his mate Dubya
Vowed never to vote Labour again but then we got that pig fucking cunt Cameron so I voted Miliband but we got the wrong one installed!
So Cameron lost Brexit and fucked off and I thought that we’d never see him again!
(Got that one wrong didn’t I)
Corbyn took over Labour and I couldn’t see us ever getting re-elected and so it proved when Boris trounced him
And now we have had several wankers in charge since Boris but the alternative to Rishi is Starmer ffs
One of my mates is a political lobbyist who hates the Tories but equally hates Starmer who apparently has systematically got rid of anyone Left Wing and is Tory Lite in all but name!
LibDems?
Greens?
Reform?
Of course Starmer will win in a landslide and we’ll then see how he does with Rayner, Reeve etc but I’ve no confidence
Tories will be reduced to a rump party and will take an awful long time to recover from this shite if they ever do!
Lord Bucket Head anyone?
I think having watched Ed Davey throughout this election campaign, he'd do a great job (in comparison to the rest of the useless lunatic cunts) as opposition to a Labour government.
What I'd like to see is Fartrage fail by the skin if his teeth so he can fuck off into obscurity again (grifting in Merica),taking huge parts of the Tory vote away from them allowing the Liberal Democrats a chance at being a proper political party.
I'd like to see the greens also grow and develop into a party that can raise serious environmental issues to the fore.
