Apparently Kolo Muani has trained for two weeks and is 'in contention'. Finally.

Sounds like he turned up ‘unfit’ In the transfer window and needed to get upto a decent level of fitness.

That was my feeling as well but we were sold a “dead leg” to be going along with.

A dead leg (also called a charley horse or thigh contusion) is a bruise to the muscle, most often in the front of the thigh (the quadriceps). It happens when a player takes a direct blow — for example, a knee or boot to the thigh — during a tackle or collision.
Here’s what happens:
  • The impact crushes the muscle against the thigh bone (femur).
  • Small blood vessels inside the muscle tear, causing bleeding and swelling.
  • The muscle becomes painful, tight, and hard to move — it can feel numb or “dead,” which is where the name dead leg comes from.

Symptoms

  • Immediate pain at the site of impact
  • A heavy, stiff feeling in the leg
  • Swelling or bruising that may appear later
  • Difficulty bending or straightening the knee
  • Limping or being unable to run

Recovery

  • Mild dead legs might recover in a few days with rest, ice, compression, and elevation (the RICE method).
  • Moderate to severe ones can take one to three weeks or more, depending on the damage.
  • In bad cases, if bleeding inside the muscle isn’t managed properly, it can lead to myositis ossificans — where bone tissue starts forming inside the muscle.

Chris Sutton - BBC

After a slow start to the season, Aston Villa are on a good run of results with four straight wins now.

I am still not convinced by their performances, though, and this will be a good test of where Unai Emery's side are really at and whether they have actually turned a corner or not.

I don't watch Tottenham and feel like they will score a barrel-load of goals, but they have got a good balance to their team and I am backing them to find a way to win this.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Had to Google it: The Byfield kid who's made the bench is a CB. Wonder what the story is on the guy we signed from Japan over the summer?
