I have some criticisms, but he’s shored us up defensively, which was the first order of business. Actually pretty remarkable when you consider how laughably bad we were in that department last season even before the injuries. But we don’t create enough in the attacking third and lack the quality to finish the chances we do create.

Get Bergval in the middle of the park alongside Paulinha, especially at home. I’ve had enough of watching Benta sit deep while passing sideways to the CBs all game. We need some energy in the middle of the park, we currently have zero creativity in there.

I think if I had to choose I’d go with Sarr over Bentancur and Bergvall over Xavi for now. Simons is kind of like Wirtz for the dippers. Has the quality (at least I think he does) but struggling with the pace and physicality. Bergvall isn’t a true 10 but what he lacks in the final pass he makes up for with energy.

Yeah, this was crazy watching Bents play 168 horizontal passes to VDV & Danso. On a positive note, I believe he was able to complete 100% of those 10 yard passes.

I get that we are trying to get the defense to adjust & look for openings / mistakes to play through, but Spurs fans have to have the patience of a saint for us to actually play forward at times.

Sums it up perfectly mate. One of the most ineffective midfield performances you’re ever likely to see. Rarely seen a footballer look so silky on the ball, yet offer so little. Not the same player as he was before the Matty Cash injury.

He has one decent game every 4, it’s just not good enough. Paulinha’s our rock in midfield, Bentancur should be making himself available in the opposition half, as first receiver from the CBs, not pissing around playing between the CBs.

Either one works mate but I’d rather give Bergval a chance to play alongside Paulinha, and keep Simmons going a little longer at 10, think those two could potentially link quite well.

I'm paraphrasing a tweet I read earlier but it said something like "Bergvall won all the club awards last year and now can't even get a start. That's a huge red flag for Frank.".

I don't completely disagree.
