Watford are on a bit of a roll at the moment, they have only lost one of their last seven games - and that was to Liverpool. They are fighting to stay out of the relegation zone so this will be manky old boots tough. We need players who will give 100% in this game (and every games),so one or two might as well not bother getting on the bus for this.

A must win game? Maybe. Southampton, the goons and Everton could win this weekend and without us getting the three points in this game we could slip down to 11th with fecking Newcastle snapping at our heels, win and we will probably move up to 6th.

The games feel like they're coming thick and fast at the moment and the one Watford win in the stats above was this fixture last season (I think). We were leading by a scruffy goal and then went full complacent and let troy Deeny's committed team score 2. Painful to watch.

They are on a roll again at the moment with Nigel Pearson at the helm and the talisman Deeny back from injury, It's a bad time to play them but hey. We'll need to show the energy and commitment we displayed against Liverpool for the last 30 minutes to win this one, and that's the minimum we should expect as fans. I like Lo Celso and I hope Maureen starts him, he's tenacious, skilful and has an eye for goal. How do you leave out Tanganga? I hope he plays too.

Gazzaniga
Aurier (we've got no-one else) Toby, Sanchez, Tanganga
Winks, Lamela
Moura, Dele, Lo Celso
Son

That should win it for us, I'm going 2-1. It's a string of W's we need now, if we have any chance of a place at the top table next season. No fucking around with ball in our box either, sideways and back - not for me - get it to the danger players quickly.

ps. 433 Loyalty points, how is anyone supposed to get a ticket these days?

I think possibly its been our least effective performance this season,MOTM gazza for saving tinyballs deeny`s penalty. That was a hard watch,we desparetly need a big #9,whatever poch did to get Son scoring jose hasnt come close.

Some people need to take a step back, watford had won 4 of their last 5 games..we had more possession but lacked quality again when we had opportunities, son, lamela guilty. We kept a clean sheet for the first away from in over a year...

I think people need to get over poch..thats in the past

Regardless of the opposition we just look disconnected, I think some players are out of position (Lamela and Lo Celso, Moura) and we appear to lack quality. Combine that with the desire to take an extra touch - slowing the attacks down and the result is another sloppy looking performance. We lack a bit of quality, Vertonghen seems to have lost form and Aurier just makes me angry. I get a clean sheet away from home is good, but as Spurs fans we should be hoping for better than that.

Sonny’s gone off the boil, Moura turns up for a few games here and there but then disappears for large parts of games, Alli other than that purple patch when Mourinho came in, has been shit for quite some time, Eriksen’s head’s gone, not really interested, same with Jan, we have an ineffective central midfield and no striker. If I was manager of this lot, I would genuinely be looking to get rid of about 10 members of this squad.

Good news is, that we only need 9 points to pretty much guarantee staying up!!

Mate, seriously? Are you watching what we are dishing up? It’s Watford, not Barcelona FFS.
It’s all very well to say “get over Poch” and I’ll cop that but please tell me what Mourinho brings to the table because not only are we not winning, we don’t even look like winning and the style of play is nothing short of putrid.

I agree with Crypt that "our cunt" seems to have added nothing to the equation.... however I also take your point that that a point against Pearson's side ain't that shabby....

However, (and I make no apology for it) if Poch was given the money this fella will command in the transfer windows and the players he wanted in and out.... we may well be CL winners right now.

The football we're watching is utter shite. There is barely anything to get excited about.

Yes, along someone will pop and say "did you watch us in the 80's" but we've fallen so far so quickly that imo it's very difficult to adjust your mind set to accepting mediocrity.......... at best.

3 positives.
1) we didn’t concede , thanks to the penalty save
2) last year we lost so today we gained a point
3 ) on Tuesday I was offered a ticket , which I declined , so I saved 100 and 7 hours that would have been wasted on the ticket , food and drink and travel , so it not all bad

This I totally agree with, I'm having a very hard time adjusting although I'm beginning to accept that
A) Poch has gone and
B) How far we've fallen.

It's like the hangover you get from losing a big game but it's not clearing. Do you think it's some kind of mourning? It's a bloody weird feeling I know that. I have to tell myself it's only football. I know that's all a bit melodramatic and there are bigger/worse things happening in the world, I don't really have any other way to explain it! I wonder if Levy feels like this?

I know what you mean, but I think it's totally justified to ask the question--if we're going to sack the most successful manager in more than a generation in the midst of a bad patch (after failing to back him in the market) fans are entitled to second-guess when the new guy isn't doing much better. Especially when its Mourinho.

Agree fans can but poch was sacked cos we were fucking terrible....we hadnt won away in 8 months.. It wasnt a bad patch

jose has come in, we have won away for first time in a year and we have got a first clean sheet in a year. He has lost our best player and our best keeper and we have injuries to key players.

5 pts from 18 last 6 games, any other manager new or old people would be losing their shit over this, yes chelsea and liverpool (both at home) in there but saints, norwich, watford, brighton are too just for balance,Even forgetting results, this hoof it ball was pretty dismal, now hoof it ball to tiny 5ft 6 Moura is just dumb.We dont seem to have a game plan except hoof it,feed off scraps, the defence doesnt look solid not even playing expansive football.

Whoever is to blame and we all have a villain,Levy, poch or Jose, its going down the toilet pretty fast, aging squad,we badly need several new players, huge payments on a stadium,if we werent spending with CL football money, what chance the needed +£150m investment needed in the team?Reality is our season mostly depends on staying in the cup next week at saints, cos after that it is fighting to get even europa league, and people who say, lets miss that it is beneath us,need to give their heads a wobble. One trophy in 2 decades of enic and even a 2nd rate trophy is beneath us FFS.
